Comments about Race Cycling Duffel Bag:

So far, I've only used this on overnight and weekend trips. But I absolutely love the compartments, the way it looks, and the backpack straps.

With my old duffel I used to wear the 2 handles as backpack straps. So the attachable padded backpack straps bring some comfort to my old method that would dig into my shoulders and leave red marks.

I am a runner and traveler and will be taking this bag to Europe next week. I'm sure that I'll still have only good things to say when I come back.

Comments about Race Cycling Duffel Bag:

I've been through several race duffels over the years. This is the best I've used.
The shoe compartment is big enough for two pairs if necessary, and the mesh outer pockets can be used for muddy or wet shoes if you don't want to put them back in the compartment.
Ont he other side f the bag, the helmet compartment is huge. And the sunglasses compartment next to it is awesome. It's rigid and holds it shape even when the bag is empty.
The main compartment is plenty big for a fall CX weekend, meaning you have to pack multiple garments for any weather conditions. Also the zippered mesh compartment on the "top flap" is great for the essentials that I leave in my bag all the time (leg warmers, warm up tights, etc).
Finally, the zippers are big, easy to get a hold of and have course "teeth" so they always zip easily and I am confident won't break.
I'm a huge fan of this bag.

Many good features, but bottle pockets and straps are flawed

Comments about Race Cycling Duffel Bag:

Bought this bag to keep all bike riding equipment together in car, available when starting rides from various locations. The poorly designed bottle baskets or pockets are a major problem for me. They need to be larger, adjustable, and have cinch cords to tighten up, like on my Northface day pack. A single adjustable shoulder strap would be must more usable for me than the clunky back straps, which I removed. The bag itself is will made, well sized and adequate for all my gear, except the bottles.

I loved so many things about this bag: the compartments, the ability to carry as a duffle or backpack, the way it sits on my back without killing me...it's actually less physical stress on me than a roller suitcase. Can't wait to travel again!

Comments about Race Cycling Duffel Bag:

Great bag. Pockets and compartments well thought out for cycling, racing, and tris. But its the most uncomfortable backpak I've ever worn. I ride 2 miles to work and do a long ride in the evening. For that first 2 miles into the office... The straps were digging into the back of my neck. 10 min of riding with it and it was almost too much. Seems like little or no thought was given to that portion of its functionality

Like all Timbuk2 products this duffel bag is intelligently designed with lots of compartments, pockets and pouches. It's durable and lightweight too. It's a great back for short and weekend trips or to ferry gear to a campsite.

Bag fits perfectly for a weekend, and has a great mix of sections for shoes, glasses, and odds & ends.

One thing I haven't figured out is the best way to carry it. The backpack option is great, the handles to carry are just straps which are uncomfortable, and there's no shoulder strap option.

This bag is my go-to every weekend. Whether it's cyclocross or road racing season, this bag carries what is needed for race day and a few extra pieces if I'm going to be staying somewhere over night. If you pack it right, the bag carries quite a lot of gear and clothing.

Comments about Race Cycling Duffel Bag:

Nice sized bag for all my cycling accoutrements; helmet, shoes, gloves, jacket, food, change of clothes, glasses. The ability to use it as a backpack is a bonus. My only complaint is the water bottle sleeves can not really be used when using this bag as a backpack, the bottles fall out. Some sort of holding strap would have been a good idea.
