Comments about Timbuk2 In Flight Case:

Perfect in almost every way. Fits my Kindle, ipod, Kindle light and a few pens and fits easily in seat-back pocket. My only complaint is the color. It gets totally lost in my Blogger 2.0 Messenger bag.

Comments about Timbuk2 In Flight Case:

I use the In-Flight Case for small books, cards, and papers that I don't want floating around in my bag, getting all mangled and crushed.

In that regard, it serves its purpose well, and I *get* the irregular shape, having seen the awkward proportions of most airline seat-back pockets... but it would be really cool if they could either make this thing a little deeper and/or about an inch wider. As it stands now, you can't easily fit a folded piece of 8 1/2 x 11 paper because the bottom corner comes in a bit, and the paper won't go all the way in without folding.

Comments about Timbuk2 In Flight Case:

This is a really good idea but the product is just inadequate. You can't hold anything in it. A normal sized novel will not fit. Work papers will not fit. You can put an iPod and chewing gum inside and that is about all.

Comments about Timbuk2 In Flight Case:

Why isn't it rectangular? How does the odd shape benefit its function? It's too small for a book or magazine. Is it a wallet? And that magnetic clasp...I'm afraid that will damage my iPod & my iPhone, both items that this bag is intended to hold.

I was suprised by the size, but it actually fits perfect in a seat back as the use is intended. I also use this for carrying a small moleskin, pens and ipod when I run out to a meeting and do not want to carry my bag.

Comments about Timbuk2 In Flight Case:

I bought this on a whim, knowing I was facing 6 airplanes in 10 days (vacation!). Holds exactly what it's described to hold (small paperback, small glasses, pen, drink coupons, a little money, passport, immigration and customs forms receipts), and fits nicely in seat backs on Southwest and American. The odd shape which I didn't understand at first makes it easy to sort of rotate into the seat back pocket, although it does cost you a little space.

That was all nice, but the added benefit that I didn't appreciate at first is that it keeps all that stuff organized in your Classic Messenger, so it's one easy motion to take this case out of the Messenger - no digging around to find the *&^%$ pen for the magazine crossword - and into the seat pocket when you board, and the reverse when you deplane and head for the next airplane.

The only change I'd make is to have it in some color besides black that's easier to find and not so easy to forget about, but this is still a 5-star for me.

Comments about Timbuk2 In Flight Case:

This little thing is awesome! I have a couple of Timbuk2 bags that I use on different days, and I wanted something to keep my usual important stuff in (wallet, emergency advil, gum, phone, etc) that would make it easy to swap it back and forth between the bags. It has a hard outside so you don't bend your stuff, and a couple of pockets on the inside for an iPhone or iPod, maybe a small wallet, that sort of stuff. It fits just barely in my extra small messenger, to give you an idea of the size. It has a really nice magnetic closure and it is stylish enough that you can carry it by itself. Just FYI, it is smaller than paper/magazine size. The only thing I would change would be the option for more colors!

Comments about Timbuk2 In Flight Case:

For a taller person like myself, when put in the pocket in front of me on the plane, with the magazines and what not, it probably reduced my knee room by an inch or more.

Also, though well organized (much appreciated), I found that having an ipod and a book (small paperback at that) was about all it could handle. Even then, it was sometimes difficult removing items because they seemed pinched against each other.

However, I will use this for years to come because it is high quality material and is better than bending down to grab stuff from under my feet.
