      Comments about Aviator Wheeled Backpack:

Love the look & function of the bag. My one concern is that getting the straps out (or back in) isn't trivial (perhaps it will be with practice). Rolling the bag with the straps out doesn't work well -- wheels get caught in the straps. I'm going to keep working on it since it'd be most convenient to have the straps out most of the time, even when rolling.

          Comments about Aviator Wheeled Backpack:

The wheels on this are the best. I was able to walk half a mile without issue whereas other luggage rollers jam or come even come off. I bought this for a trip to Iceland. I did read a review where a bag got scratched. No worries for me there. What was disappointing was coming home & seeing a hole or rip that I could slide a penny through. The material simply cannot handle the stresses of baggage throwers and how they load planes.

            Comments about Aviator Wheeled Backpack:

At 4'10, I bought this in hopes that it wouldn't completely overwhelm my size but it totally did. It's hard finding something that would fit my size for traveling abroad. The straps seem fine for the 2 minutes I had it on, I can't tell you how it is completely since I haven't left for my holiday yet. The back looks like it's pretty padded but it was uncomfortable after a few minutes of wear. On the tag it said it comes with a rain cover? I didn't get one of those, kind of hoping there was. Other than that, it's very well made. Very sturdy stitching. Heavy duty zippers. Legit skateboard wheels. Tough materials. Surprisingly a good amount of space, I think it'll be large enough for two weeks in Southeast Asia.

            Comments about Aviator Wheeled Backpack:

This is a great bag size, weight and layout. The shoulder and hip straps are comfortable, and the wheels work well, as they do on the Copilot. This bag is a beter design for me than the Copilot, since this is not clam-shell (which takes up too much space when open, IMHO).

I love Timbuk2 products for the overall design, warranty and expectation of durability. I have many TB2 bags!

My one true issue with the Aviator is that there is no built in sleeve for a business card or other ID. In other words, I must resort to having a bag tag and, based on many years of experience, there is no bag tag which is robust enough to stand up to the abuse that checked bags encounter. The Copilot has such a sleeve. I had promised myself I would never buy another bag without one. I broke my promise, but still wish I had a sleeve on the Aviator!!

            Comments about Aviator Wheeled Backpack:

I bought this to go skiing this winter. The luggage can go from airport to the cabin in the woods without any issues. Its the perfect piece of luggage for me. But my biggest complaints are that
            1) It only comes in black
            2) Everyone else's luggage are black.

I have another Timbuk2 luggage and its green. I can see my luggage as it enters the luggage conveyor Indy 500. I don't need to fight everyone, squint, or embarrassingly grab someone else's black luggage. BECAUSE ITS GREEN.

My only solution is to spray paint the luggage. I'm no Banksy, but I'll manage.

I bought this product for our trip from TX to Boston. I ended up buying the large and my wife and I packed 5 days worth of clothes in it with like 3 pairs of sandals and 2 pairs of running shoes and an extra timbuk2 bag for when we got there to carry around with us. this bag carried everything very well. on the return we had additional things we bought while we were there and it still held it all just fine. by far the best luggage I've ever purchased. highly recommend this to anyone!

                Comments about Aviator Wheeled Backpack:

Five years ago I bought a rolling backpack made by a different company. It was a significant investment. By the end of my first three-week trip, the seams were splitting. After the second trip using the bag, I had to throw it away. Total bummer.

My main reason for choosing Timbuk2 was the lifetime warranty. If my bag falls apart, or gets ripped, I'll just send it back and get a new one. So I paid quite a bit more than I wanted to, but hopefully this will be the last bag I'll ever need to buy, as long as it doesn't get stolen or lost.

I recently used this bag for a three-week trip to Italy and Malta. The bag got plenty of abuse. It got tossed around by baggage handlers, slammed down on train platforms and rolled down cobblestone streets. On several occasions I over-stuffed the bag and yanked hard on the zippers to get it closed.

The bag survived without a single scratch or tear. It looks like it's in perfect shape.

As for its size, whether it's too big or too small is a relative question. I was able to fit 3 weeks worth of clothes in the bag. It was pretty tight, but in retrospect I could have left some items at home and had extra space.

My only minor, minor complaint - the tag on my bag said it came with a rain cover, but it didn't.

By the way, this is my second Timbuk2 bag. I also bought the smaller, roll-on carry-on version of this bag for a different trip.

                  Comments about Aviator Wheeled Backpack:

I've used this for 1 longer trip to Hawaii together with the Aviator Backpack. Honestly- all of the Aviator series either need to be 20% bigger or need to come in multiple sizes. It worked for packing for 1 person, but not for 2. In hindsight maybe I should have noticed the model was only 5'9" in the photos.

Aside from it being too small- the quality and design are top notch. The zipper configuration could be improved a little as some people have said. But otherwise I think it's really well built.
