So listen. I don’t mean to sound jaded here, but I’ve been at Timbuk2 for awhile now and if I hear one more request for a diaper bag I just may go crazy. I feel ya, really I do, I’m 7 months pregnant and I get that the bag we have to tote around with our kid rivals our strollers in terms of importance. For years I begged our design team to make me a diaper bag to quell the cries, I even saw a prototype or two, but something always seemed to stop it in its tracks. Then all my friends started getting knocked up and I as resident “bag lady” was their first call. Finally it occurred to me, DO IT YOURSELF. Seriously. I know you are smart, creative, out of the box thinkers, I mean, you already love Timbuk2 right? Still, in case you need some inspiration here are some great ideas to get you started.
This is a jungle theme diaper bag I did for a friend using a Medium Cargo Tote which pretty much insures she will love me forever. Sweet!

I’ll bug you again about the yoga bag. I’d love to make my own, but the yoga bag has to have straps or something to hold the yoga bag in place. How about adding extra non-slip straps to the messenger?
Hey Andy,
There’s been talk of bringing back compression straps which would allow you to attach your yoga mat to your bag. Would that work for you?
I’m sure the Maria isn’t quite your style but it does feature compression straps for yoga mats.
