This is an awesome idea. Just got my bag and map in the mail and meticulously cut out the map. So cool. I read that there were ideas on this site as to how to recycle the rest of the “bag” that is not part of the map. Just wondering where I might find them. Thanks!

I just got my bag-in-a-map and love this idea! The only problem is when I tried to pull apart the taped-closed side of the packaging it stretched out and ripped up the map. Hm. Still, five stars for doing something new, creative, and worthwhile!

might not see some bags for a few months out, but the cities are in the works..

Portland, Austin, Chi town and Bean town.

You should make more maps for various cities and use them based on the city you are shipping the bag to.

For example, I live in Boston. So when I order the bag, you would wrap it in this nice reusable bike map of Boston, rather than SF. People from Chicago or Portland would get the maps of their cities.

I understand that not all the cities can be bike-mapped, but at least it would work for those lucky ones that can be.

This way it’s less likely that the map would still end up being in the trash.
