Really, really, ridiculously good looking…or just ridiculous.

Day 11 of a 12 day Product Development trip to Hong Kong
Margie, Chris, and Lander find themselves in H&M looking for ideas during a competitive shopping assignment when Margie decided that Lander should do a little modeling of some of the merchandise.
As Lander put it “Clothing by H&M, Merchandising by Margie, Photography by Chris Chung… [...]

Watch this.

Today I am feeling extremely uncreative. This might be due to a weekend full of debauchery and a work week of art and finger rockets. So watch this video. Thats all I have to say.

Still hardly working

Our shipment of 1000 finger rockets came in today that we will be sending to retailers as a little pre-season gift. But before we could do that we needed to test them to make sure we weren’t sending them defective products. I’m pretty sure all 1000 now have the Timbuk2 quality inspection sticker on them. [...]

Day 5: Working Hard…/hardly working

Today Pepon presented the four prototype bags that with Tae’s help, he created over the last four days. Pepon referred to the prototypes as seeds, as he had a difficult time envisioning what they will look like as an actual plant. That being said i was amazed by what had been created in such a [...]

Day 4: Pepon’s vision starts to take shape

This morning Tae came into the office with one of four of Pepon’s bags. By the end of the day he had two more completed.

Day 3

Pepon and Tae continued working on how to take Pepon’s concepts and turn them into commercial products. This is the first commercial product Pepon has ever worked on. Today he meet with the customer service team as well as members of the sales team to explain his concept to them.

There is a sense of vulnerability and a need to be guarded when venturing out in an urban environment. To Pepon, a Timbuk2 bags acts as a sort of talisman, protecting not only the contents of [...]

He came, he saw, he conquered.

The Workshop Timbuk2 day 1 with artist Pepon Osorio got off to a great start. Pepon meet with designer Tae and wandered in and out of 99 cent stores on Mission Street for inspiration to create a limited edition Timbuk2 bag. Tae is sewing prototype bags tonight for Pepon to riff off of tomorrow. Stay [...]

Now you see her, now you don’t. Covert bag explained

Many of you have been wondering: what’s all the hub-bub about the covert bag, bub? Check it out: here are a couple pictures of Keri wearing the covert bag; invisible when there isn’t a headlight hitting her and then lighting up like a christmas tree (without looking like a christmas tree) when a car comes [...]
