Here’s an update from Cole on his ride across the country with Bike and Build:
ok a lot has happened since my last email and i’m sure i’ll forget a bunch of stuff. But my photos are from about the last week which was Chapel Hill, NC to Maryville, TN. We road about 100 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway mostly climbing. That was a major highlight. Those climbs were much tougher than i expected. We stopped in Ashville, NC for a one build day. We were staying in the local YMCA which was nice b/c we has access to all the stuff in there. We also had an amazing home cooked meal by Samuel and Maggie Kovach’s parents one of the best meals thus far.
I did the two major climbs to get to Ashville on the Blue Ridge Parkway with my 39t front ring and a 11-23T cassette. That was not the way i wanted to climb several thousand feet. I bought a new cassette in Ashville 11-26 T. I would have never made it out of there w/out the three extra teeth. I have some really nice photos from those rides so make sure to check them out…
