I uploaded 5 pics, hope you can get to them from here....

At 30 years old I deliberately turned my world topsy turvey. I moved to the island of St. Kitts, West Indies, where I started Veterinary School at Ross University. Part of the allure in attending Ross U was the location, as I had never lived outside of Tampa, FL, my entire life. In planning for my future schooling, I found myself searching the internet for the perfect laptop/school bag. I received much advice about what makes the perfect bag – but for me the most important part would be that it reflected me as a person, was durable, and would be there for me in the next few terrifying (yet exciting) years. I wanted a bag that was flexible – I could fill it with books/laptop one day and groceries or beach gear the next. And the waterproof quality was definitely a plus.
I have received a lot of flak for the large size of my messenger bag (had to get a large to fit my laptop). In fact, most people who see my bag for the first time mock it. That is, until they need me to carry large amount s of stuff for them or hold onto something important during one of our random rain showers. I remember my first week here leaving the port with 3 bottles of rum, 3 bottles of wine, and various produce items that my friends couldn’t carry. No one was complaining about my big bag then!
My bag was a bit lonely, though, being mocked by my friends. That is, until she met her mate: my friend Kristen’s medium custom messenger. The two of them have explored this island up and down, have hung out between classes down by the ocean, and sunbathed on the beach together.
Kristen and I do our part for Timbuk2 in spreading the word about these wonderful bags all over St. Kitts. Thanks for all you do!

Well, my timbuk2 bag is proud to have traveled in North America, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia. I even customized it by adding some Maasai art from Kenya to the middle panel.

It's the best for keeping my gear close, safe and dry.

Go to my flickr photostream to see photos of it being carried through the Sahara by a camel; on a street in Krakow, Poland; at the top of a cliff overlooking the Adriatic on a Croatian island; resting by the biggest waterfall in Croatia in Plitvice national park; on a picnic table at the Grand Canyon; and watching the sun set over the Sierra-Nevadas in Granada, Spain.

My Timbuk2 bag has been to North America, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia! I even personalized it with some art from Kenya. It's a comfy, stylish way of keeping my gear close, safe and dry.

Check my photostream to see it being carried by a camel in the Moroccan Sahara; checking out the biggest waterfall in Plitvice National Park in Croatia; looking over the Adriatic Sea from a cliff on an island near Dubrovnik, Croatia; taking in a sunset over the Sierra-Nevadas in Granada, Spain; and sitting on a street in Krakow, Poland.

Hi everybody,

I wanted to share the story about my Timbuk2 Classic messenger bag with you guys.
My bag has travelled everywhere with me for the past 5 years. Its homebase is Groningen, The Netherlands, for bringing my books and papers from home to work (and ofcourse always on my bike, it's the Netherlands!). The adventures and places it has been include: Portugal, backpacking in Jordan, christmas in Germany, Spain, Netherlands Antilles, St Louis, Mount Vernon and Washington DC, Sweden, volunteer work in Kenya (carrying antibiotics and toys for the children who were operated (sounds really cheesy but it's true!), numerous skiing trips in Switserland and France, and everwhere across the Netherlands. Here you can find some of the pictures with my bag http://www.flickr.com/photos/28755036@N03/

But now it is STOLEN. On its last trip in Valencia, Spain, my fantastic bag was robbed!! I tried to run after the thief, but with no luck (ofcourse)! Going to the police in Spain is an adventure by itself, but because of all the robbery everyday, the forms are already translated in English! I included some pictures of the form.
Fortunately nobody was hurt, but my beloved bag is gone. The bag with stickers from the Kenya airport, with some dust from the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan (without getting it on my camera, thanks to my bag!), in short: with all my memories!
I cannot begin to tell you how much I miss my bag. And ofcourse, my insurance company will not pay anything because it is already 5 years old, but they don't know that a Timbuk2 messenger bag can last a life time! It didn't had a scratch on it.
So hopefully you can give me a chance in this rough competition for a new Timbuk2 bag. I wouldn't know what to do with my stuff on all my future travels.

Since I silkscreened a Dalek on my Timbuk2 bag... I wanted to do something silly. I'm sure the Daleks would love to travel around the galaxy carrying Timbuk2 bags. :)

Of course this bag has traveled around with me as well. I use it for going to school in NYC, it was used as a photo bag in Italy, and is with me on my first trip to LA right now.

I love my Mini Metro bag! I just moved to Sydney, Australia from Canada and obviously moving halfway around the world forces you to pack lightly. My Timbuk2 bag has been a lifesaver! It lets me fit a crazy amount of stuff into a purse sized bag. So far my bag has only been in Canada and Australia, but it will continue to be my travel companion for a long time! Here are a few pictures of my bag leaving Canada, viewing the Sydney Opera House and taking in the scenery at the beach.

Tokyo, Mandalay and Machu Picchu. It's a tough competition, but I'm almost certain that my visit at the beach in Bøur, Faroe Islands is a first one for a Timbuk2.
