Just as the weather heats up in San Francisco, the Timbuk2 team is hunkering down in Camden, Maine. Why you ask? We’re in Camden for Pop!Tech, a one-of-a-kind conference, community, and ongoing conversation about science, technology and the future of ideas. Timbuk2 has partnered with Pop!Tech to create the conference-neutral bag. The bag is made from materials we found in our SF factory and all conference attendees have been given the option to up-cycle their bags after Pop!Tech.

Donated bags will be given to Peace Games, a non-profit that teaches students how to be peacemakers in their schools and communities. So far people are donating! Pop!Tech attendees can also donate their old conference bags; this is working too! Timbuk2 will send the old conference bags to a textiles recycling plant where all materials will be re-worked for new manufacturing projects. Fast Company likes ‘em.
