This past Tuesday started out like a normal Tuesday, ie, doing all of the things you planned to do on Monday, but around 3PM things took a dangerous turn. That danger had a name and it was Tequila. I’ll back up a bit. Kevin, our marvelous CMO had invited some really rockin folks from the SF branch of the advertising agency BBDO West to take a tour, make a bag and learn about the history of Timbuk2 as told by yours truly. We laughed, no one cried, we had a blast. And then they brought out the Tequila. On a Tuesday. I mean, we do have beer here at Timbuk2 but we usually save the liquor for special occasions like holidays or Fridays.
Turns out us lucky folks were going to help our friends out by doing a blind Tequila tasting for ‘market research.’ Tough life.
There were 5 Tequilas to be tasted and crackers to be crunched in between to cleanse our palettes. Only after we had each tasted all 5 and made our official vote for the best in show were we allowed to see which was which. Turns out even though yours truly claims she doesn’t even like Tequila, she has taste for expensive ones – Don Julio. See Jordan and the contestants below:
