Tweet That Pothole

Our amazing San Francisco Mayor, Gavin Newson, has done it again. “In an effort to foster more civic collaboration and connectivity with constituents, Mayor Newsom today announced a first of its kind application that allows citizens to access the City’s 311 Call Center through Twitter,” reported SFgov.org. Translation: Gavin has made us the first city to be able to tweet about potholes, lost dogs, and unskilled graffiti so they actually get fixed!

How does it work?

  • First, follow SF311 on Twitter and let SF311 follow you.
  • Then, tweet things that need fixing and someone will tweet back and start fixing things. Amazing!
  • Learn more about how-to tweet fixes here and see what people our people tweeting now. Putting the people in power; love it!
