You Voted. We Built It.

On April 7, we blogged six messenger bags we were considering for production and asked you to vote. The Racing Stripe Messenger was the clear winner. So we ran with the concept to bring you four color-ups in this style, including the grey everyone loved. These bags are live now! Cheers to democracy and cool-looking bags.

Great looking bag… when I saw the grey with yellow stripe my first thought was that would be a cool Livestrong item. Any thoughts on partnering with the Livestrong group for a bag or 2?

Iain, good thinking on Livestrong. Can you send Lance our way?

Really nice bag….could you make it in small as well?
and add in a customization feature as well…so we can choose our own colors?:-)

Hey…for my observations….its the design of Crumpler….but only with the pattern of the 3 panels still intact/designed on.
Ever had any intention of creating a Timbuk2 Bag with only one color for the 3 panels(as meaning as one whole bag for one color).
And a Halo/Matrix design on it….Reflection of it…and the Halo would look cool….but i don’t know how to depict that well:D

DR, we’re not quite there yet. We are trying to see how much people like this design and if they love it, it could be customized in the future. Thx for your feedback.

Chris, we do offer bags in one color and you can always build your own in our bag builder. Stay tuned for more Matrix :)

thanks for building this one — looks great as does the new commute 2.0, which looks awesome. as a Kindle addict i was wondering (hoping!) if you are going to build a sleeve or holder or something kool to carry and protect the new Kindle DX that is shipping this week. none of the stuff on the market is up to your standards, hope you can — you would have at least one sale!

    Hey…asking one out-of-topic stuff.
Erm…will Timbuk2 create shirts and shoes in future?
    Good technology shoes(sports/casual/etc)
    etc…..lol

    As in going into a multi-product brand….instead of a famous/unique bag brand

I was wondering if you had a bag specially made for the new kindles. I just bought one and would like to use something cool (that zippers) to fit my new little investment. something with some style. I know you can do it. It’s not even necessary to share proceeds with me. I’ll just bask in the wonder of invention. OK, you can share some of the proceeds with me if you make them really cool. Like that live strong color scheme on your messenger bag.

When you say stay tuned, how long do we have to stay tuned? I am really looking for a bag for my 10″ netbook.

We currently sell the T-Pack. It’s a little pack designed for 10″ notebooks. For the holidays, we’ll have another notebook option . . .
