The Obama women rolled through town yesterday on San Francisco’s newest cable car. Secret Service practically took over Russian Hill to ensure Michelle, Malia, and Sasha had a safe ride. It was all very exciting. However ridiculous it may be, I feel unusually proud of our city because a) the sun was actually out when they were here, b) I love our cable cares, and c) I’m inspired by the Obama women.* With SF Pride starting Saturday, I’m practically overflowing with San Francisco love. Ok, I’ll stop it now. Oh, if you haven’t been to the San Francisco Cable Car Museum or chatted with a cable car operator, you really should.
