Workshop Wednesday: The T2 Design Team

Here’s a sneak peek into the creative (??) bunch at Timbuk2. As you can see, we’re busy pursuing other interests for self enrichment, while working at Timbuk2.

Leading the pack is our design director – Tae Kim.
Tae
Tae’s background is not Bocce ball . That’s only one of his hidden talents. Tae was the design director at The North Face before he joined Timbuk2. Tae has a degree in Product design from Stanford University. Tae is also one half of the Brother’s Kim and the President of the club – T2 A.S.S (Asian Sexy Studs)

The other half of the Brother’s Kim is Daniel.. Kim.
Daniel kim
Daniel comes to us from Jansport, and has a degree in Marketing from Boston University. At Timbuk2, he heads design development. He’s the guy that cracks the whip on the factory that turns our designs into products. He is also the resident “match maker” at Timbuk2 – His favorite line “if only I were single….”. The picture says it all.

Then there’s Bopanna, the designer at Timbuk2.
B
Also known as the HR nightmare – as you can see from the picture, he’s quite the charmer that one. Bopanna has a masters degree in product design from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco. Besides driving around in his fancy car, he can also be found sewing up fanny packs at the local Indie-Mart and making all the ladies flinch at his inappropriate comments.

Finally the guy that holds the team together – Jon Davis- The junior designer
Jonny
Besides facial hair grooming, Jonny is a keen outdoorsman, beer drinker and champion foosball player. Jonny graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in product design. His penchant for funny t-shirts and rad shoes are the traits that make him a legend here.

Stay tuned for more from us..

That’s one scary looking bunch. I hope I don’t run into them in a dark bar. They might try to talk to me or buy me a drink.

I travel every other week for business to all over the USA to Mexico, Canada, Europe and Asia. This is the best bag I have ever used. It is light for when I need light for some planes and handles computer, personal needs as well as business supplies and samples. It can hold a huge amount and I have never run out of room. It is the best casual & business bag I have used for life and travel.
Best of all it organizes me and with I have never traveled easier.
On planes the profile of the bag lets me get more than a typical briefcase but the organization is much better than just a bag.
A great bag and i am suggesting it to everyone I meet. Also it holds up and takes the abuse of the road with out any problems. The only issue is the name “Mullett” but it is a great bag and dealing with your company people was also great.
