According to a city report, cycling in San Francisco has increased by 53% since 2006. So naturally San Francisco has been cleared to paint the first 3.6 miles of new bike lanes proposed in the city’s bike plan. That will leave 30.4 miles to go. Additionally, “60 new bike racks have been approved out of 750 that have been requested.”
Since we’re officially full of holiday cheer, let’s celebrate this progress and let scrooge stew on the pace of the progress. Learn more about San Francisco’s bike plans here.
