FLAPs arrive at PopTech

The FLAP bags have arrived in Camden, Maine for the annual PopTech Conference. This morning we tested and assembled the FLAP bags and they work! They look pretty slick too. Learn more about the FLAP bags here or share your FLAP thoughts here.

It’s Raining, It’s Pouring

A wet day here at our Hayes Valley Store.

Biyaks for Rainy Days & Rivers

Wired recently reported on the HEPAV (Human Powered Electric Amphibious Vehicle), otherwise know as a bike-kayak love child. The Czech inventor, David Buchwaldek, created this recumbent bike to enable people to peddle their way across rivers. Finally, someone has solved the river-crossing problem!
Actually, I wouldn’t mind riding a Hepav home on this rainy San [...]

Sophisticated Cycling

The New York Times Magazine recently reported on the trend of super high end hotels offering bicycles to guests for luxurious cruising on holidates. The article explained, “Bye-bye, Bentley — the latest hotel amenity on wheels is the bicycle.” Guests should refer to the New York Times style tips on what to wear while [...]

Swig with Us

Last night we kicked of Timbuk2 Bar Week by sewing fanny packs and giving away Dolores Chiller’s at the Blue Light on Union. Tonight we’ll be doing much of the same at Swig from 6 ‘o clock.

Soaked in San Francisco

This man stops for no storm! Although a tad grumpy (who can blame him?!), everything is dry except his feet and his face. The Lex served Paul well on this ridiculously wet San Francisco day.

The soaked, slightly grumpy storm chaser.

The Lex came through in the storm and kept everything dry.

Timbuk2 Bar Week Starts Tonight

It’s not Taco Tuesday, but the Blue Light will be hoppin’ tonight. So slip on some loafers and join us at Blue Light to kick off Timbuk2’s Bar Week.

Long Haul Trucker

Give a warm welcome to the newly assembled Long Haul Trucker. It’s Timbuk2’s biggest, baddest bike and has more parts than all your bikes combined. Paul says it rides, “like a Cadillac.” Fenders and baskets are so hot right now.

Hauling Wheels

More action on Polk. Last night I spotted Jenny hauling a shiny new wheel in her Lex Pack. The wheel was beautiful, but what really caught my eye was the patch she’d sewn onto the back of her bag. Very perty. Thank you to Jenny for tolerating the improtu modeling shot amidst San Francisco’s crackdown [...]

Timbuk2 Bar Week

Get ready. We’re honoring our pack line with a San Francisco bar crawl next week.
