Comments about Candybar Backpack:

I wanted a backpack to save my shoulder, but not a clunky one. This is perfect for walking around a big convention or instead of a briefcase for work. While I drive to work, as a teacher I am always hauling things from my car to my upstairs classroom. This backpack is slim so I don't feel like a turtle, has a soft padded secure place for my iPad, and a roomy interior. It is SO much more convenient and comfortable than my briefcase. I am a 5'2" female and it is perfect for my frame. I only wish it had an outside pocket for a phone or sunglasses, and that it was just a tad bit bigger so the files or papers I put in with my iPad wouldn't scrunch a little. It is deep, so I use a separate purse organizer in a light color for my purse-stuff.

Comments about Candybar Backpack:

For security when traveling, an inside zippered pocket, large enough for a passport and boarding passes would be great. It's a Goldilocks bag: just the right size. It is the only pack I've had that fits so well it doesn't need a half dozen clumsy straps to keep it from slipping and sliding while on a hike that has a few scrambles. My only serious complaint is that I can't have one customized, hope Timbuk2 changes it's mind about that.

    Comments about Candybar Backpack:

I adore this bag! I have a long BART commute and walk through the city to work, this bag comfortably holds everything I need. I keep my dslr, camera accessories, day to day needs, extra shoes, iPad mini, headphones, iPod, hairbrush, umbrella and clipper card all in one small light weight bag. The design is great.

My only complaint was the color. I went with the white, but when I received the bag the brown had bled onto the white leaving an orange stain. The white attracts dirt very badly no matter how careful you are to not let it touch anything. I emailed Timbuk2 about the stains and dirt issues and was told to use dish soap to clean it. I'd advise pretty much anyone who plans to use this daily to stay far away from the white. I've only had it a few weeks and it looks very dingy even after several cleanings.

    Comments about Candybar Backpack:

Replacement for my timbuk2 messenger bag which is now my gym bag.

Pros: I can fit everything from said messenger in the candybar and can walk even longer distances! I commute to and from work via transit and my two feet and this bag is awesome - it is very comfortable, and is sized right for people who don't like their backpack to smack their fanny. Speaking of smacking, I no longer smack anyone with my bag when the bus/train takes a turn. ;)

If I am not carting my laptop to and from work my current book and journal are tucked into the computer pouch all nice and snug!

Cons: Wish it had more pockets. Seriously. I'm a girl who carries a lot of stuff with me - meds, lip balm, headphones, kleenex, shopping bags, umbrella etc. Also the key fob clip should be in the front zipper pocket for easier access.

      Comments about Candybar Backpack:

I bought this backpack so that I could carry my laptop and other essentials to and from work. I either take public transit or I bike. Either way, this is the best bag I have ever bought. It fits snug to my back, fits as little or as much as I need it to (including my 13 inch laptop/tablet so don't let the title make you think it is too small). It doesn't feel heavy and prevents me from overloading it (which I have a tendency to do). My shoulders & back are much happier with me, and I have gotten so many compliments on how nice the bag is. I use it for personal & travel too because it is so versatile. Would buy again and recommend.

I'm a nurse and it's a great lightweight backpack to take small items to work. I don't think the straps would be strong enough for a heavy load, but good for casual use. The outer zipper pocket is perfect for my ID badge. I think it would work well as a carry-on bag too.

              Comments about Candybar Backpack:

This is a gorgeous bag. I got the confetti tweed color which has some nice feminine elements without being overstated. The bag is nicely fitted which was my main objective in requesting I get this bag for a gift ;-) The straps are super comfortable and the bag stays against your back; it doesn't bump around at all. The pocket in the back is designated for an iPad but is plenty big for my mac book Air. The only things I would change are that the opening to the main pocket is a bit narrow. If you have small things at the bottom they are in a long dark tube and the top of the pocket does not open very wide. Also there is only one small zipper pocket you can get to without undoing the buckles so I find the small front velcro section for keys, wallet etc to be not that handy- I have to stop, put down the backpack, open the buckle, then the velcro to pull out my keys. I will probably end up carrying a small purse along with it to keep keys, wallet and metro pass more accessible. Overall I am very happy with the bag!
