Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

I was looking for a bag that I could use during my morning workout (usually cycling or light jogging) as I had to carry some stuffs like water bottle, my wallet, and etc. Well this bag is just perfect for above purpose. Fit is great and the bag stays on me while I move around. It has quite lot of capacity, however I should say the bag is not so compact. Fortunately I'm somewhat big-framed male so it's no big deal, but if you are small-framed or thin, this bag may be too big for you especially if you are getting it for cycling like myself.

Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

I bought one of these bad boys in navy as a Christmas present for my SO. After lusting after it for months, I finally broke down and bought one for myself. I commute by motorcycle to my day job as the director of a local non-profit and to my night job as an adjunct professor.

Sometimes my other TB2 bags (Swig backpack, classic messengers in medium and small, etc.) are just too big. When I do bring them, I find I over-pack. Enter the Catapult! It's the right size for my tablet, a small notebook, a cardigan, makeup bag, a light lunch, and a handful of other little necessities. It doesn't swing around when I ride and it always feels secure.

Other reviewers have written about the Velcro's poor quality, saying that it wears out really quickly. I find that with the big zipper, I rarely even bother with the Velcro, so from my perspective this is just another high-quality bag from Timbuk2.

I bought the gray herringbone with light pink binding. Totally the right mix of classic and modern. It's also just feminine enough to tell my fellow commuters that they just got passed by a girl.

Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

Don't get me wrong I am in love with this bag. It's easy on and off. There is enough room for all of my belongings. My only issues are I've only had it for a month and the Velcro is wearing already. The other problem is the adjustment strap. It comes loose constantly and is a bummer. I love timbuk2 and will definetly buy their products again.

Fits my Macbook Pro 13" perfectly. The open pockets made me think it wouldn't hold items in the bag securely, but I was wrong. The velcro on the flap seals it up so nothing falls out.

Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

I wanted a small bag that would force me to pack less things, and I also wanted a messenger bag since I have bad right shoulder, so anything resting on my right shoulder hurts. I didn't use it a whole lot initially because it was smaller than I thought, but recently I started to use this bag for school on a daily bases. Unfortunately, before the semester was out, the velcro was already losing grip.

It was not losing grip because there was lint or dirt trapped in the hook-side, but the fact that the loop-side of the velcro got too fuzzy/puffy after repeated use that it simply wouldn't stick even after pushing it hard against the hook-side.

It was great for the 2.5 months it lasted; it was light and it was comfortable. If only it would close. I really wish it had come with clips instead. I've read online that I can torch the loop-side to make it curl again, but really, should I have to resort to that for a Timbuk2 bag? If this bag has a life-expectancy of 2.5 months of daily use, then I wish it was posted somewhere before I shelled out for such a small bag.

How I used the product: to carry small notebooks, e-reader, pens, snacks, water bottle, the usual suspects. I walk to school, so it's not like I swing it around or roll in the dirt with it.

Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

I own the very early model of the Catapult. I have had it for more than 2 years now and there are not signs of wearing. The bag looks as the first day I bought it. I use it every day in my bike-commute to work and it holds perfectly to my body. I own the 5 Liter version (s size), I would advice to take the 7 liters (L size) because the 5 liters is sometimes too small but with the extra 2 liter you may be able to fit a bigger jacket or pullover together with your laptop. It is perfect to carry your ipad or the new version of the Macbook pro. Sometimes, I was having problems to fit inside my old Macbook together with a light jacket. I live in Germany and it can get very humid and rainy around here, but this bag maintains all my belongings dry ad well positioned. Now that I see the new features that the new version has, I am thinking in getting a new one even when my old one still looks like new. Cheers from Germany. I give 4 stars for size but If I would own the 7 liter version(L size), it would be with not doubt a 5 stars review.

Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

the bag is awesome. its good for just carrying the basic items around. or when i go to school and i don't have much to carry so i throw it on and go on a bike craze. i also like the simple compartments. i know folks like a lot of comparment but i had d-messenger bag and barely used any of my compartments. also being able to switch the strap either side is awesome because i tend to do that. i think the only thing i didn't expect was the strap. i think it still needs improvement on that.

improvement: maybe instead of having the option of the extended strap latchable, actually have it just slide around for adjustment without being able to latch on and off. it kind of isn't necessary for it be latchable.

if you don't mind the latch. i say get it. its niceeeeeeeeee

Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

I had an older catapult bag and it was great bag, but I am left handed. So when the 2014 came out I had to get it. I love it. It feels the same but better since I can switch for a lefty. When I am off work that is my go to carrier for trip to the market, going to sporting events, and or my local watering hole. It is comfortable while riding my single speed fixie and or my cruiser.
                Thanks for a great product.
