Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

It's a great bag that can easily fit a good amount of things, despite it's small size.
I can fit a laptop, a Leopold fc660m mechanical keyboard, power and USB cables, notebooks, 32oz rectangular water bottle, a portable battery, and a handheld video game system (PSP or 3DS for example).

It's also made of classic Timbuk2 nylon with a TPU inner lining, so it's considerably rain-resistant (as long as water doesn't get inside the top corners.

The shape isn't the best, it's not a nice rectangle (like the Classic Messenger), but more of an inverted trapezoid (base narrower than the top).

Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

Main compartment can fit a Macbook Retina 12in (but not in the iPad-specific area of the bag). My everyday carry is a MB12, a few A4 folders, a B5 notebook, a packable light rain coat, a collapsible nylon grocery bag, medicine pouch, wallet, coins and keys. Still some room to spare. Everything I need is organized and has a place in my bag. It's good to see the strap design was carried over from the Especial Cycling Messenger (which I loved to use but found too small and heavy for daily commute). The strap is a genius design that separates this bag from most other brands', since the extra tail end doesn't flail around. However, I do want to see plastic buckles (or other mechanisms) added to the front flap of the bag, for added security.

Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

I have been searching for the perfect messenger bag for years, and I always come back to Timbuk2 or Chrome. The Catapult bag nearly hit the mark -- great strap length, very comfortable, small enough not to get in the way (though large enough to keep it well away from man-purse territory), and nice urban styling. If the bag were just a bit bigger (i.e. deeper -- I have the medium bag, which interestingly is deeper than the large bag), I have would have rated it 5 out of 5 stars. Still, you can never go wrong with Timbuk2, and this bag is no exception.

Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

Great for cycling! A little too small sometimes when I need to carry just a little more stuff. It generally holds everything I need; the minimal. It does not have much organization and lacks compartments. It really lacks a water bottle holder which made give up one star. Other than that, I'm satisfied with it's tight size and minimal everyday carry type.

Comments about Catapult Cycling Messenger Bag:

I've worn it in public carrying all of my basic gear as well as throwing some stuff I bought in there, and it was great and has remained comfortable throughout entire days of use. I have not loaded it heavily, but that's not the point of the bag for me; it is an excellent minimal carry bag that is at the very least water resistant, has very easy access to it's many pockets, and it feels like it is going to last awhile. For the price I paid, it has been well worth it.
