Timbuk2 products have a lifetime warranty; we stand behind the legendary quality and craftsmanship of all our products.

We also embrace the wild, twisty ways of life. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair  the bag at our discretion. Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, cosmetic damages that do not affect the functionality of the bag (such as scratches or stained fabrics). Any damage to, loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered. The lifetime warranty also does not include our apparel products, such as Timbuk2 t-shirts and hoodies.

Your Timbuk2 bag is sewn by hand and might contain some slight imperfections. Like Daniel Craig or Marilyn Monroe, the slight imperfections are what add character to an already awesome product.

Warranty Repair Policy Details

If your bag qualifies under our warranty, your only responsibility is to get it to its warranty destination. Once the product is received along with the repair order number, we will evaluate the claim within 7-10 business days. If the claim meets our manufacture defects,  we will refund your processing fee and repair your product at our discretion. 

Please keep in mind that California State law requires that all items accepted for repair be freshly cleaned. You wouldn't want to dig through someone else's nasty, so help us provide a clean and safe environment for our employees. If we determine that your bag needs to be cleaned, we will return it to you without repair. We do not offer cleaning services ourselves. When sending your bag to use for a warranty claim we do recommend using a service like UPS or FedEx which will give you a tracking number. Once your bag is safely in our hands the warranty process will begin.

Returning a Bag on Warranty Repair

Please first contact the store where you purchased the bag. If you purchased your bag online at or if the retailer is unable to process the warranty, please contact If you purchased your bag outside of the USA and Canada, please check here for your local representatives who will offer you service. As a first step you will be asked to please open a warranty claim form. Once you have the warranty claim number, send us the bag. We do recommend using a service like UPS or FedEx which will give you a tracking number. Once your bag is safely in our hands the warranty process will begin.

We also offer replacement parts on our website for many of those broken and missing reflectors, buckles and straps.
