    Comments about Especial Raider Backpack:

I cycle to work 2X a week. The round trip distance is around 20 miles. I push myself to get a maximum workout hence shower at the gym and new change of clothes is needed. This is the exact backpack I was looking for. Comfortable, agile and stealth with logistical pockets of storage. I'm thinking about buying one more when and if they go on sale as I hate it if this design gets disconnected. As a point of reference, I had another backpack from another brand and I saw it falling apart so I switched and what a difference!

    Comments about Especial Raider Backpack:

In hindsight, I would have bought a larger pack but for the size and its use, long 40km commute to work (road cycling) its perfect. Wouldnt recommend overloading the pack.

I bike to work every morning and the folding board and shoe pockets are awesome. I wear a women's size 9 and my shoes fit perfectly. I use this bag solely for my clothes and shoes for the day and use a Timbuk2 saddlebag for my bike locks and lunch.... so this bag is super light and easy to bike with. I have plenty of room to put my lunch and bike locks in the bag if I need to though!

I commute 10 miles daily by bike and love how I can fit everything I need for work into this comfortable little backpack. The only thing that would make it better is if it were waterproof. It's a bummer to have to switch between my waterproof backpack and this one when it's raining, although I will say the raider is impressively water resistant.

          Comments about Especial Raider Backpack:

I use this as a lightweight gym bag to hold my running gear. It's light, well-organized, and is easy to carry. Be aware that once you fill it, there is very little room. My only complaint is that the interior could use one pocket to hold stuff. Otherwise, it's almost perfect!

I use it to get to work and carry my business casual clothing. Unfortunately, I was caught in a rain storm on only my fourth commute, and the bag did not protect my iPhone , which is now ruined. Became a very expensive commute as a result..

                Comments about Especial Raider Backpack:

                Pros:
                1. Nice slim profile even on ladies. I'm 5 feet 6 inches in height.
                2. Doesn't swing around even at a slight jog
                3. Very lightweight with no messy bells and whistles
                4. I use this in a humid climate and it's comfortable to wear even after 45 minutes of walking outdoors.
                5. The internal side compartments let me separate my wallet from water bottle and provide a bit of organization.
                6. The outer side pockets are deep enough to be useful for tucking a pair of gloves or your phone.
                7. Overall high quality construction.
                8. A colour for everyone. I bought black so I can share it with my husband. There are funky colors if that's your style.

                Cons:
                1. The top zip pocket can't hold anything heavy or it collapses inward making for an awkward opening of the main compartment.
                2. It's material means you should really only carry soft and light items.

This bag meets all of my daily needs and it can be used even on travels if you pack lightly for the day. This is a good-looking, functional sports bag that isn't very overpriced if you can get it on sale.

                Comments about Especial Raider Backpack:

I wanted to love this backpack, but I just really like it. I commute 16 miles 2 - 5 days a week, year round. I work in an office environment and I have locker and shower facilities, so that is a plus.I have tried many ways to carry my work cloths and essentials. I've had several backpacks, a couple cycling specific, a couple day packs and a couple different panniers and I just cant fine the perfect system. I read an article about this backpack and I was super excited to try it and I ordered it right away. It's almost perfect. Its very lightweight and comfortable. The built in folding board and the shoe pockets sounded exactly what I was hoping for. When it arrived, I was immediately concerned......it's pretty small. Although its designed by cyclist commuters for cycling commuters, they must all be very small who wear a polo shirt, flip flops and shorts to work. I can stuff a dress shirt, dress slacks and a tie and underwear along with my wallet, keys, phone but thats about it. Putting dress shoes in would be a pipe dream, its just not thick enough. All that being said, I have a locker at work where I keep my dress shoes and some sport coats so this pack is still workable. If you need to carry a suit or want to bring a sweater with, prepare for a mass of wrinkled work cloths and don't even think you can get a pair of shoes in this pack. I'm still happy with it, I can make it work in my situation and it will make a great day pack for hiking, BUT is is far from the commuters dream pack that it appears it could have been if it were an inch or two longer, wider and thicker. I would recommend this backpack, as long as you know what you are getting.

Now an official winner of the International Design Excellence Award!
We earned a Silver Award in the Personal Accessories category from the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). Designed in collaboration with San Francisco's Mission Cycling Club, the Raider Pack frees you to get in a pre-work ride without weighing you down.
Weighing less than a pound, the Raider Pack was named after Mission Cycling's morning "raids" up to the to the top of the Marin Headlands before work. Cooked up over a post-ride breakfast at a San Francisco neighborhood café, Timbuk2 and Mission Cycling were sweaty, tired, and sick of carrying their street clothes in bulky backpacks built for hiking. Understanding the need for a small, lightweight commuter pack that could hold the day's essentials without slowing down the pre-work ride, this pack was born.
