I use this backpack for daily bicycle commuting, it has lot of space and it's very comfortable while riding. I have to pack into separated bags the objects I put in to avoid having them mixed and messed up. I had had to pay unexpected extra customs duties

Comments about Especial Tres Cycling Backpack:

I use this bag for school - I was drawn to it because I live kind of far from campus so I bike and wanted a bag that would be comfortable for the ride and also weather proof. I love the velcro roll top and the huge main pocket - it fits 11x17 paper, which I use a lot, so that's a big plus. The Velcro bits on each strap are great so you don't have long ends of straps flapping every which way - it also makes for a cleaner look. My one qualm with the bag is that the middle pocket (the one with the Velcro flap cover) can be pretty inaccessible, especially if the main pocket is holding stuff. I have to really cram my hand in there to reach the bottom, and there's no way to see down there so I have to just feel around to find what I'm looking for.

The shoulder straps are not adjustable. The bag has a great capacity but it goes to waste as if you too much weight in it, you can't carry the bag for too long.

Comments about Especial Tres Cycling Backpack:

I bought this bag because my previous bag (also Timbuk2), while great for carrying my computer, was canvas and not water proof. I recently started all-weather commuting to work on my bike, and that has meant rain, sun, and snow.

The especial tres cycling bag is amazing for all-weather riding, and just for riding in general. One of my biggest complaints about my previous bag (not a cycling specific bag) was its flat back. When you're cycling and leaning forwards down over your handlebars, a normal bag will slide left and right, and the flat back will rub uncomfortably on your spine. The especial tres has sturdy ribbing that sit comfortably on either side of your spine, and a waist + breastbone strap that keep it firmly (but comfortably) in place.

One other note is that this bag is HUUUUUUGE. Fully unrolled, it goes up to my waist. This is a seriously large volume bag. But when it's strapped down and tightened up, it's really a very compact profile. It grows as you need it.

This is a seriously awesome bag.

Comments about Especial Tres Cycling Backpack:

I got Especial Tres Cycling Backpack to replace an existing backpack I had. The main purpose for the upgrade is to carry more and waterproofing. I use this bag for school and work. My 15" laptop slides into perfectly without and issue. The side pouches hold my large 32oz. water bottle as well.

Being a commuter in the North Ease I tend to be out in pretty nasty weather regularly. It's caused me to get a lot of good weather gear. The one thing that I had always had difficulty finding though was a good waterproof backpack. This bag facilitated that need perfectly! Added bonus was it nearly doubled my carrying capacity from my previous bag.

With my job and remaining school I have to carry a laptop with me essentially all the time. Which would be fine if I drove into work and it was just a short walk from my car to the office. But take a train into the city. I have a good amount of walking from the train station to my office. If it's raining I'm trekking through it. My laptop can't get wet. This bag is perfect for that. The laptop compartment doesn't go to the bottom of the bag, not sure if that is intentional or not, but it's a great thing. If I am in a rush I will drop my laptop in my bag. It won't hit the floor which is perfect.

As much as I love this bad there are a few flaws. The one that is most annoying is it doesn't have enough pockets built in. Going off the name of the bag and how it's set up it seems more to be a bike messenger bag. I would guess that bike messengers would probably not need a lot of pockets in their line of work. Only just one large compartment to keep whatever they are carrying dry.

The bottle opener is in an awful place. I wish I could move it but the only way to do so would require me to either cut some material or remove stitches and replace them after it's out. Well last resort would be to use a bolt cutter to cut it off but I have reached that point yet. The bottle opener gets caught on my watch or on doors or hits me in the wrong spot while moving around. Does a cyclist need to be able to open a bottle while biking? It would be fine it was just located somewhere else other than the middle of the right shoulder strap.
