Comments about Timbuk2 Harriet Shoulder Bag:

This bag is the perfect size for carrying around daily basics when I don't need my laptop, an extra set of clothes, etc. I use it especially when I travel, because it goes with most any outfit and carries a lot. My favorite thing about my Harriet, though, is that it has those little velcro straps for attaching it to my handlebars--this is something I've never seen in a bag like this. The straps are stronger than I expected and the bag is the perfect size so that it doesn't affect my bike's performance. Only thing I would change is adding more pockets and more colors/designs. Also maybe a more attractive strap.
I used mine for a while and decided it would be the perfect gift for my mom, who is starting to commute by bike to work.

Comments about Timbuk2 Harriet Shoulder Bag:

I bought Harriett for a short trip where I would be doing a lot of walking in the city. The bag held just enough stuff (wallet, gloves, pocket knife, and a few snacks) without being too heavy and was comfortable to carry with the crossbody strap. Now I'm carrying it everyday instead of a purse. The herringbone tweed is just dressy enough for work.

So far it is wearing well and doesn't show dirt. I don't think it's weatherproof, but it seems to repel light rain and dirt easily. Most stuff just brushes right off.

There is one zipper pocket inside the main compartment. My only complaint is I wish it had at least one open pocket in there to slide a pen or cell phone into.

The back of the bag has a handy open pocket which is great for dropping something into on the run (receipts, coupons, loose change) when you don't have a hand to open the velcro. I actually keep my keys in that pocket for quick access and keep my handy pocket knife on the key fob :)

      • Velcro Hard To Get Into

      Best Uses

Comments about Timbuk2 Harriet Shoulder Bag:

Use the bag everyday as pocketbook. Nice size, I dislike bags big enough to pack clothes in. I carry 3 or 4 items only. Strap very comfortable. Light weight, room to spare.
The velcro is hard to open with one hand to get to keys, usually have something in other hand. Wider flap instead of velcro, besides velcro ruins sweaters or wool when it catches. Could do without purple touches, nice color but bought black to go with everything, I use a bag for necessity, not as fashion so don't change bag with outfits.

Best of all made in USA of durable materials. Great, good company.

the tools when stowed are very well protected !

However when Full of tools 1 more additional strap would be better to secure the roll shut and keep it neat !

Color , OMG U cannot see this thing in the grass or on the assphault at night ... Make it Orange yellow or a reflective stripe ... I will be the 1st to purchase 2 more once you change the colors!

Comments about Timbuk2 Harriet Shoulder Bag:

This is bigger than I thought it'd be! My only qualm is that there are no "intentional" gaps between the pockets. If a pocket is full of stuff or something moves around in it, folding it over neatly can be an issue.
