Comments about Madrone Cycling Laptop Backpack:

I'm a freelance stage manager with a full time job, which means when I'm in production I leave my house by 7am and don't get home until 11pm. I needed a bag that can carry up to two binders, a laptop, a ton of pencils (why can't actors seem to ever have a pencil?) and other show related things. This bag does an okay job of holding those things. It was a little tetris-y in the beginning. I also pack my own breakfast/lunch/dinner, and was hoping that I was looking for a bag that would also fit my lunch bag, so that I didn't have 42 bags while commuting all over the Bay Area. Here's the thing, this bag is so comfortable and almost does everything that I need it to, that I'm willing to sacrifice hands free commuting for it. I wish the pockets were a better thought out, and able to be organized, and I REALLY wish there was a large version of this bag...I would be all over that!

I've been looking for a practical, comfortable yet stylish bag that I can chase my toddler around with that won't hurt my back and keep my hands free. I've been eyeing this bag and when it went on sale it definitely was the perfect bag for us! easy to get to pockets for wipies, snacks and hot wheels with drink pockets for my little boy and I.

Comments about Madrone Cycling Laptop Backpack:

I love this backpack, nice quality and comfortable. The reflective strip allows me to bike comfortably at night. However, since this is a commuter backpack, I'd love to see more compartments and inside pockets for all the random things I carry with me. When I'm commuting, I prefer not to bring a purse, however I haven't found a good way to use this backpack as a replacement yet. For now, I just end up throwing my purse in the backpack.

Comments about Madrone Cycling Laptop Backpack:

I'm in love with this bag! I went in person to the Portland store, and I tried on so so many bags. This backpack is by far the most comfortable and easiest to wear. It fits my torso exceedingly well, and I love that the straps cut in for comfort. My favorite part of this backpack is that even though it's cut for a woman's torso, it's not super girly on the outside. A lot of the North Face backpacks I've found in stores are pink/purple or have pink/purple accents, and at least this one only has the pink lining on the inside.

I also love that it's weatherproof. I've had it outside in rain, and everything has stayed dry.

The only bummer is that the interior main compartment is a bit tricky. It's easy to lose things in the main pocket. My Timbuk2 messenger bag had more interior organization, and I really miss those features. But overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

Comments about Madrone Cycling Laptop Backpack:

It seemed like things got lost in the bottom. I havenet adjusted to going in the u the side and that didn't really work. For instance the depth means that if you slide in a small apple air it is way down or a ticket etc
An outside sleeve type pocket that is deeper than that zipper pocket would be great or an outside sleeve type pocket for things.

Comments about Madrone Cycling Laptop Backpack:

I've recently started using public transit to commute to work and decided I needed an all weather backpack to make it happen. Very happy with my purchase. I mostly walk to the train, but even when biking this bag has been great. Has held up in wet weather. Lots of easily accessible pockets and 2 water bottle pouches which helps a lot. Fits way more than I'd expect for the size. Breast and hip straps hit at the right places for me and help a lot when I'm carrying a heavy load. I also have a very small torso so I appreciate that it's fitted for a woman's height, although it seemed long when biking and trying to look over my shoulder to change lanes (I'm still learning how I want to wear the straps, though). Only real complaint is the interior fabric-- it's pink polka dot and honestly pretty ugly. Doesn't match what I think is a sophisticated exterior.

Comments about Madrone Cycling Laptop Backpack:

This is a great all around backpack. I purchased it to use on my trip to Europe even though it is intended to be used for cycling. The size is perfect, not too big, not too small, it is very good quality, resists the rain, and is attractive.

              What's this all about?

Riding a bike is liberating, but it can also be sweaty and not very attractive. Enter the Madrone Cycling Pack. Designed for women - shorter torsos, narrower shoulders, wider hips - the Madrone fits like its yours, not your boyfriend's. While the Madrone is technically sound, it keeps its techie side under wraps. Molded back panels quietly keep things ventilated while you ride, reflective hits are only visible when you need them, the U-lock pocket hides under a feminine flap, and a fuzzy pocket for your phone and sunglasses is zipped out of sight. Fit, function, and feminine good looks; what a catch.
