Comments about Rogue Laptop Backpack:

it's a great backpack- versatile and simple. one large pocket with a padded laptop slot on the inside plus a nice inside pocket. It's not missing much other than the key tether which is on the messenger bags. However, if you're using this pack for light commuting and biking- it's fantastic and is not an issue if you aren't continually in need of access to it while doing other activities.

all around well constructed bag. it is also relatively weather resistant- it won't handle being drenched but it made it through a few light showers.

Comments about Rogue Laptop Backpack:

I use this bag for business travel, switching over from a large messenger. I can manage up to a 3 day business trip with careful wardrobe planning and packing. I travel light and simple. My typical pack has:
* Clothes for meetings
* Workout clothes with running shoes
* Toiletries
* 13" Mac-Air
* iPad Mini
* Power cables and cords
* 5x8" notebook

Everything fits perfectly. I would still have room for a larger Mac if desired.

The pack is shaped squarely so you can get optimal packing arrangement. The square shape and size also forces the pack to fit under the seat in front of you (on at least a 737 or larger) so you don't have to rush for overhead bin space. I often find that I can slip between larger bags in the overhead bin as well.

Running shoes are the killer. Shoes are always the killer. This pack has sturdy military style loops on the outside. I use a D ring to clip my shoes to the outside. Again it all still fits under the seat in front of me.

The downside is there are relatively few pockets. I like this because the interior space isn't wasted on interior organizers. You may not. I pack any small stuff I can't fit in the provided pockets in a small stuff sack to keep things together in the main compartment. I also miss the key clip from my messenger. I'm paranoid about losing my keys.

The other bad thing is this pack lays flat on your back and can make you a little sweaty as a result. You can always hang it from one shoulder occasionally to cool off.

All in all for the money this is an outstanding and well designed pack. I feel it's durable and would stand up to weather reasonably well. Very pleased!

    My husband uses this backpack for his work commute and loves it. It's weatherproof and has an internal pocket designed to hold and protect a laptop computer. It's much more spacious than it looks and is slim and sleek in design, so he doesn't have to worry about bumping into people in the subway. Very impressed with this product.

      Great back for my teen daughter. The quilted dark red color & texture is better than expected! She feels that all her books actually fit inside due to its depth. The amount of pockets are perfect, not overkill. My son now wants one in black. Very pleased!

      Comments about Rogue Laptop Backpack:

      Great backpack that would be even better with perhaps one more interior pocket. Fabric is nice-looking and doesn't show dirt. I like that the laptop section is structured like a sling--your computer doesn't hit the floor when setting down the pack. I use this for a daily work commute and it's been great (1 month in).

      Comments about Rogue Laptop Backpack:

      I got this for my teen daughter who cares about looking cool. I care that she had two straps instead of a shoulder. The Rogue fit the bill. She carries a ridiculous amount of stuff and it all fit, but shockingly the pack design belies the volume and number of items inside! It kept her laptop and books dry in a downpour. The downfall is that there aren't enough pockets inside, so we mitigated that with a bunch of fun pencil cases that now hold her million of little things. She looks great. she's happy. her posture is better. I am happy.

        Comments about Rogue Laptop Backpack:

        I absolutely love this bag. I am a full time student that commutes by train in the Pacific Northwest (it rains a lot). I can fit a couple books, my lunch, and other essentials all comfortably and I think it's super cute, especially for the price. I have been stuck walking home in the rain and none of my things in my bag were wet! Super comfortable too! The only thing I wish this bag had was another outside side pocket to put my umbrella in, just having the one is great for my water bottle but two would make this the perfect bag. I also prefer a bag that doesn't have a lot of internal pockets as I tend to stuff things in pockets and forget about them, so the ones available in this bag suit me perfect.

        LOVE
        It's awesome how simple yet stylish it is. I work as a photographer and all its pockets and features are very useful. I recently used it for a day hike and found it super comfy.

        DON'T LOVE
        It has a lot of velcro and tends to cling on clothes and my mesh gear bags but that's too specific of a problem and quite ignorable. Also the side pocket is made for smaller water bottles. Not snug enough for my 27oz Kleen Kanteen.

            Comments about Rogue Laptop Backpack:

            The biggest problem was the cross strap is too high. It often chokes you as you walk. The pack is designed for smaller chested people, not for us that have some girth from working out or even a little pudgy people. I use the product to commute to work every day. It works fine, but is uncomfortable to bring on a longer urban walk or to bring to a large city.

            So, upon writing this review, we just found that the cross strap is ADJUSTABLE with snap buttons. They should make this a bit more obvious from the packaging. So two thumbs up now!

            What's this all about?

            A military-inspired backpack with a slim, urban profile, the Rogue samples went fast in the Timbuk2 office. Clean on the outside, the Rogue is rather clever on the inside. A stretchy, air mesh laptop sleeve keeps your laptop safe and cool and internal organization provides a place for pens and power cords. On the outside, its cushy straps are super comfortable and come with a bottle opener for hydrations emergencies. And as a nod to the hardcore, daisy-chain webbing provides attachment points for your U-lock, carabiners or more serious strap-on accessories, but they're designed to look good naked too. Do as you wish.
