      Comments about Sneak Camera Case:

I needed a camera case for day/weekend trips. I can easily carry my DSLR with 70-200mm lens without worrying it'll break. I'm always on the run so it's an easy to grab-and-go-might-accidentally-swing-it-around-but-don't-have-a-heartattack-I-might-break-the-camera-as-I-run-out-the-door case.

This case has also carried 2 camera bodies + one lens from Long Island, NY to Burlington, VT (without padding). So you can easily tetris some extra items and not have the case bulk out.

I wish that the exterior pocket wasn't as tight a fit, I do have to struggle to pull items out. But I keep a cash stash there, so it's a perfect gauge of "Do I want to spend this money badly enough to get in a tug-of-war with an inanimate object?" So I'm saving money as well as keeping my camera safe!

      Get it.

        Comments about Sneak Camera Case:

I purchased this bag for a Sony Nex5r with the 18x55 lens kit. The bag has more than enough room inside for my mirrorless camera. I was looking at similar bags made by other brands and decided to purchase this one becuase of Timbuktu's excellent construction and warranty. My only gripe is that I wish it had a divider of some sort inside. The other one I was looking at had a velcro divider that you could put anywhere inside to customize your compartment. Other than that its a nice bag for the price.

        Comments about Sneak Camera Case:

Timbuk2 bills the Sneak as "a super-organized, incognito "What DSLR case?" case." Does it live up to the marketing hype?

Right off the bat I want to say I like this case: good looking, well made and holds my cameras like a champ. The Sneak is basically a bucket-style case for carrying a compact DSLR with mounted lens: load camera lens down and run out the door. The zippered pocket and two mesh net pockets offer a modest amount of space for wee knickknacks, e.g., memory cards or filters. I wouldn't describe those spaces as "super-organized" but more along the lines of essential or basic! It isn't incognito either: looks exactly like a top-load camera case as popularized by Tamrac and Lowepro, e.g., Lowepro Toploader Zoom 45 AW. If you want an incognito camera bag the Timbuk2 The Snoop Camera Messenger Bag is the real deal.

The Sneak is small. Mine measures 7.5" tall, 7" wide and 4" deep. The walls are thin so interior dimensions are only slightly smaller. In other words, more camera can squeeze in than it appears. My Canon EOS 6D fit nicely with the 24-105 4L IS USM mounted. Ditto for 60D with 15-85 IS USM. It's not tall enough to leave the hood mounted unless reversed. My 7D also fit but was a little snug, i.e., hard to slip my fingers around the grip to pull it out. Maybe it will stretch eventually. Definitely ideal for a small DLSR or ILC with modest zoom or prime. Definitely will not fit a pro DSLR, e.g., EOS 1DX, or DSLR with battery grip.

Several reviewers mentioned the Sneak has little padding. Perhaps they expected ultra thick open cell foam padding? Instead the Sneak sports far superior closed cell foam in the top, bottom and sides. More compact than standard foam but protects delicate gear better by absorbing impact rather than collapsing and transmitting it. It's so dense I can barely dent it with my mightiest squeeze. If you're paranoid about a butt drop, place an additional piece of foam on the bottom, e.g., a divider from an old camera bag.

Okay, Timbuk2 marketing hype was a little overdone. Nevertheless, the Sneak is a great little camera case, ideal for protecting a camera in your purse, tote, daypack or messenger. When you get to your destination, it pulls double duty as a top-load camera case. The Sneak is attractive, protective and an easy carry, perfect for those not wanting a bulky case.

Like that it stands alone or can be packed in another bag without extra bulk. It clearly looks like a camera bag, so not quite as incognito as I first thought.

This is great for what I use it for... Would definitely buy a snoop bag/insert if I was going to be commuting with my DSLR (Rebel t3, which fits great btw) but that is not what I bought this for or what it's advertised for... It keeps your camera safe and close on short rides or a day of walking through town, and keeps you looking good while doing it.

I got this for a 2-week trip to South Africa. It was exactly what I needed for my Cannon XTi and 18-55mm lens. I also added extra cards in the pocket. The strap was long enough for my husband (6'2") to use as well as myself. It was "sneaky" and didn't scream "American Tourist". It was small enough to go in my backpack when not in use. It protected my camera perfectly. AND GREAT COLOR!

I don't use my camera as often so this camera bag is great to keep it stored away when not in use. It is also great to just grab and go for the times I do use the camera for documenting events and activities.

This camera bag is perfect for amateur photographers who want a stylish way to carry their camera without lugging a big, clunky bag. I have a digital SLR. This bag is big enough to hold my camera (with the lens on it), extra batteries, and SD cards. Using the handy strap that came with the bag, I'm able to wear it as a crossbody bag. This would not be a good bag for anyone who needs to bring along extra lenses or other equipment.
