We've Got You Covered

Timbuk2's Lifetime Warranty

Timbuk2 products have a lifetime warranty; we stand behind the legendary quality and craftsmanship of all our products. Our warranty is valid only when the Timbuk2 product is purchased through Timbuk2 directly (via timbuk2.com or one of our brick-and-mortar retail stores) or through an Authorized Reseller.

We also embrace the wild, twisty ways of life. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair  the bag at our discretion. Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, accidential damage, and cosmetic damages that do not affect the functionality of the bag (such as scratches or stained fabrics). Any damage to, loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered. The lifetime warranty also does not include our apparel products, such as Timbuk2 t-shirts and hoodies.

Your Timbuk2 bag is sewn by hand and might contain some slight imperfections. Like Daniel Craig or Marilyn Monroe, the slight imperfections are what add character to an already awesome product.

Warranty & Repair FAQ

What is covered by the warranty?

Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship are covered, notwithstanding age. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair the bag at our discretion.
*If your product arrived defective from Timbuk2.com please email Customer Service and we'll move mountains to right your wrong.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues that do not affect the functionality of the bag, and accidental damage. Any damage to or loss of contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered.  Unless a product is designed and stated to be machine washable, washing bags in washing machines can result in damage not covered by our warranty.

Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Regardless of how carefully you use, or how well you care for your bag, it will eventually begin to show age and wear. Usual wear and tear not covered by the lifetime warranty includes changes in color, abrasions, and general breakdown of materials over time.  Some examples of common wear and tear include color fading from sun exposure, worn elastic, and fabric wear, especially in high wear areas such as corners, reflective binding, worn velcro, and worn shoulder or back padding. Some examples of accidential damage are rips or cuts in fabric, animals chewing or clawing on our products, as well as damage arising from airline abuse such as bent or dented luggage handles or damaged/cracked wheels & bottomplates.

What products aren’t covered by your fabulous warranty?

Any headwear, apparel or footwear. Third party attachments and or devices like the Joey power packs or NiteIze blinky lights, or Blue bottle kit accessories like scales, grinders, or cups. Any other third party accessories sold by Timbuk2 but not bearing the Timbuk2 brand.  The items are generally warrantied by their respective manufacturers.

Comments about Tandem Pannier Bag 2015:

This pannier bag has just the right amount of space I need for commuting to work - plenty of room for shoes, clothes, lunch, a MacBook Pro laptop, and anything else I have.
It's still pretty stylish in spite of its size, I think - that blue just looks awesome and the material looks high-quality. I work in healthcare research and I think this looks sharp and modern in the office.

Comments about Tandem Pannier Bag 2015:

I ride about 150km per week to and from consulting sites and running errands and this bag is perfect. I used to carry a backpack in a basket on the back, but was constantly worried it would bounce out and the bag was so heavy my bike would fall over if trying to use the kickstand. This keeps the bike balanced, and leaves me room in addition to my work gear to pick up a few things. Great for shopping too.

Comments about Tandem Pannier Bag 2015:

Bought this for my daily bike commute. Compared to others it was reasonably priced and seemed reliable. It has not disappointed me. It straps easily to my bike and then easily converts to a shoulder bag. It is sturdy, very water resistant (I guess its not water proof only because it cannot be submerged but it easily withstands the worst rain). I was at first concerned that it would not have enough space for all of my stuff but it seems to have endless space in its two large compartments. I fit a lunch, small laptop, a full change of clothes, work supplies, folders, and a bunch of other random small things. It does get kind of bulky to carry all of that stuff as a shoulder bag but I think it still works in that capacity well. I sometimes worry that the velcro straps will wear out eventually but they are holding strong after a few months of different types of weather. Overall - great choice for the price, I would buy it again.

I use this product everyday for bringing lunch, change of clothes, bike repair parts - you name it - to and from work and for joy rides around town. It configured easily to the rack I purchased, and the mostly-weatherproof shell has made it my go-to for commuting and joyriding. The shoulder strap has made it super portable, too, which has been nice.

Comments about Tandem Pannier Bag 2015:

I use this bag whenever I ride my bike. It's packed with gym clothes, groceries, computer, shoes, and sometimes books. I can get $60 worth of groceries in the two pouches. It resisted water well in the rain. Alas, I was run off the road one day by a bus, ended up coming off my bike, which slid across the gravelly ground for several feet. Inside this pannier was my phone, my computer, and some books. All of the contents were in perfect condition. The bag suffered a few tiny scuffs and one tiny whole. I was so impressed. My limbs did not fair half as well. This bag is durable, and reliable. My only complaint is that the strap slides off my shoulder unless I wear it cross body.

Comments about Tandem Pannier Bag 2015:

I recently started to bike commute to my office, it is about 7M from where I live. I was looking for a pannier where I can carry my lap top and the daily clothes I am wearing at the office. Because I live in Orlando and high temperatures force you to take a shower every day at the office, it was important for me to have enough space for the towel and other bath staff also. It has been 2 weeks already and I am complitly sutisfied with my purchase, the cost-benefit ratio of the Tandem is excellent and I'll strongly recommended for commuters that want a pannier that is not huge, so it becomes unpractical to carry-on but at the same time not so small, so you can't take all the staff you need for your daily basis life. (Work-GyM-Eat).

Comments about Tandem Pannier Bag 2015:

These bags for great on my bike, come off quickly and hold everything I need for a day at work - laptop, lunch, other necessities.

Due to the distance I have to travel, and the space in these bags, I think I'll be leaving clothes at work to change into. The bags themselves aren't especially heavy, but when every gram counts, like a big climb, you definitely know you've got them there.

The logo on the flap is reflective, but more would be a good idea. Maybe the piping around the seams or some other design elements.

All in all they are great commuting bags. Wish they were a bit bigger and more reflective, but I would recommend.

Comments about Tandem Pannier Bag 2015:

I begun riding to work and needed something other than a backpack to lug my clothes, laptop and lunch to work (RT 11miles). This pack is meeting my needs well. I have not ridden in the rain so cannot comment on waterproof nature.

I like how quickly i can attach to my bike rack. I wish the velcro connecting the back to each side of the fram was a bit longer as i cannot seem to get enough velcro grip length to ensure that after the couple bumps on my ride, that the bags don't break loose. Also, once you pack the bag(s) full, the flap does not completely cover the male side of the velcro on the bag, creating a nuisance when carrying my bag from bike to locker room.

All in all, i like the bags and they meet my needs well. I wish the velcro had just been thought out a bit more than the state when the bag has nothing in it and the bag is attached to the bike.

              What's this all about?

These two super-durable saddlebag pannier bags magically transform into a single shoulder bag. Thanks to built-in magnets, all traces of pannier-ness disappear, when two halves become one. A 15" laptop pocket makes every commute a beauty. And while we can't say it's "waterproof" because you can't submerge it in a pool, its fabric-backed tarpaulin fabric makes it super duper water resistant.
