Yohei Hanazawa

My name is Yohei. I come from Tokyo, Japan. I have been drawing all my life, and my style is always changing. In this body of work I am exploring ideas of traditional Japanese bicycle culture as I experience it through the global track bike scene.

In Japan track bikes have a bad image, because it's a popular gambling sport, but the new fixed gear culture is changing this bad reputation. People riding bikes is a positive activity -- physically, socially and environmentally. So, through my art I focus on representing Japanese influence as it contributes to global track bike culture.
