Thorina Rose was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Washington, DC. From earliest memory she had a pencil in her hand. Her work draws upon a personal iconography that reflects her periodic stays in France, and evokes her passion for art history and the decorative arts. She lives in San Francisco, California with her two sons.
