Comments about Wingman Carry On Travel Bag:

I use the bag for regularly travelling back to my home country by plane. It enables me to bring along my laptop, cloth and more. Furthermore, I use it too for going to conferences and short trips. The bag is so roomy, that, when filled entirely, it get a little heavy :)

Comments about Wingman Carry On Travel Bag:

I wanted something that I could take on weekend trips, as well as week or two trips, and this bag does what I want. Well thought out compartments, great straps inside, too zipper layout. The ability to use as a shoulder bag, or grab convenient handles, or convert to a backpack! Exactly what I wanted...

Nice features but too much bag. Wish it came in 30L size.

Comments about Wingman Carry On Travel Bag:

I write this review with the one-bag travelers in mind. I travel carryon only, domestic and international, and my preferred mode is a convertible backpack. Just makes navigating planes, trains, boats, city streets and remoteness so much easier. This bag really has many great features, great organization, and looks cool. But for anyone under 5'6" this bag is overwhelming to carry on your back. It even looks huge on the models in the photos! If you're packing this full, you'll break your shoulders and back from the poor weight distribution if you need to go any distance. If you want to carry 40L, you're likely better off with a true backpack, even though it won't look as cool.

Comments about Wingman Carry On Travel Bag:

I bought this bag because I was having a hard time fitting everything into my old bag. Carrying a laptop, gym clothes, and paperwork was more than my old bag could handle. The shoe pocket is perfect for sequestering my gym shoes, while the multiple zipper pockets give plenty of room to store papers, folders, and some office supplies. I use the inside zipper pocket to store my laptop. It isn't padded, but it works okay because I mostly only keep workout clothes, gloves, and a towel in the main compartment.

I like that the bag converts from a messenger bag to a backpack when needed. the bag also just really looks nice.

The only real cons I found with this bag is that the zippers feel a little sub-par when compared to other Timbuk2 products, and some of the surfaces on the outside are real dirt and dust magnets.

Overall this is a great bag if you need a flexible travel case or want to consolidate all your daily stuff into one large, but lightweight lugger.

Comments about Wingman Carry On Travel Bag:

I bought this bag to use as my carry-on bag for international travel with the option of using it as a backpack if I needed my hands free. This bag is great, exactly as described on your website; however, it is more floppy than I anticipated. It can be stuff full, but due to it's size, things shift inside unless it is completely full, and when full it can be rather heavy if you're packing things other than clothing. It's not heavily padded, so one must be careful when setting the bag down if carrying a computer and other breakables inside. I used it on several transatlantic flights and was able to pack everything I wanted, but it was very heavy and impossible to carry with the shoulder strap due to my height. Unfortunately, it is too big to put under an airplane seat and I had to be careful not to place the bag down on the side with the computer sleeve in the overhead compartment. I would highly recommend this bag. It has great organizational features. If you're a shorter person I would opt for something smaller. Still a fan of Timbuk2.

One of the best thought out bags I've ever used. Just the right amount of pockets, practically placed and of useful sizes. Option to use as a back pack is a great benefit when covering distances.

The material is durable and easy to clean.

Comments about Wingman Carry On Travel Bag:

I have been looking for a convertible backpack / luggage for years since my Pangea was discontinued. I bought a Lands End a couple years back - it was sleek and worked ok even though it didn't have enough inside pockets. After the zipper burst, my hunt was back on.

I ordered the Patagonia MLC and the Campmor Essential Carryon but the former was really small and the latter was really low on well, everything.

The Wingman is a lot roomier than I thought it would be (the top zipper has a clamshell effect that's deceiving lc forgiving) and pretty bulletproof. It's pretty styling for business as well as casual travel. I wish there were two compartments inside but that's not the way the design works.

I'm enjoying the Wingman so far - especially at the price I got it for w the discontinued color - and I'm glad to be done w the luggage search for now.

I have used this for short business trips and week long vacations to tropical destinations. The ability to change from a messenger style to and backpack is invaluable. I loved this bag so much and so did my father, that I got him one for a gift.

                    What's this all about?

The older brother of our original Wingman, this updated Wingman has outgrown hostels. Its sleek new styling works downtown or way way out of town, but its tuck-away backpack straps are still there when you need them. A time-tested traveler, the Wingman's pocketing makes sense. Its large main compartment opens wide for easy packing and a bottom expandable pocket quarantines your shoes or unmentionables from the main compartment. A small front zipper pocket enables quick access to your cards, phone, and passport while secure padded pockets carry up to a 17" MacBook Pro and an iPad. Like a good Wingman, this duffel is ready for anything.
