What is a Bag in the Tag?
Bag in a Tag is a prepaid gift program that you’ve been given by a client, employer, or a stranger that loves you. You use that code printed on the card inside your tag to order a custom Timbuk2 bag. The bag you order will include an interior pocket or special patch on the strap embroidered with the logo displayed on the card that contains your code. The code is product and size specific, so you can only purchase the bag specified by your code.
When does my code expire?
The code can only be used once and the expiration date is on the card below the code.
What’s wrong with my code?
First, verify that the code your using matches the product you’re trying to purchase. The back of the card that contains your code includes a web address that specifies the product you are able to purchase (example: Small Messenger Bag). If you try to purchase a different product on Timbuk2.com, your coupon code will fail. Verify that your code is still valid. Your code can only be used once and the expiration date is on the card below the code.
When will my bag arrive?
Your bag will be built in San Francisco and shipped to the US destination of your choice within 2-3 days of placing your order. When the order is placed you will receive an email confirmation with order tracking details. In general, people in the west receive their order in 3-5 business days and those in the east receive their order in 5-7 business days.
Can I pay more to trick out my bag?
Sure, but on your own dime. The code you’re using locks you into a specific style and size of bag (example: small messenger bag) and allows you to choose whatever ballistic fabric, liner, and swirl color you like. You can choose to upgrade to specialty fabrics and add on extra features and accessories, but you’ll have to pay the difference. Go wild. You deserve it.
Can I ditch the embroidered pocket or embroidered patch on the strap?
Nope. Whoever gave you this really loves that special embroidery and you will too . . . or else!
Can I exchange or return my Bag in a Tag purchase?
Nope. All sales on custom Timbuk2 bags, including Bag in a Tag bags, are final and cannot be returned for credit or exchange. So think carefully before you build that purple, yellow, and brown messenger bag and then rock it with pride.
Why is ground shipping my only shipping option?
Because it’s a (terrible) technical limitation. Someone generously prepaid ground shipping for you and we can’t undo what’s been done. So many apologies, but ground shipping is all we can offer.
Can I ship internationally?
Nope. Same issue as the ground shipping. Your shipping has been pre-paid for UPS ground shipping in the US only. You can work around this by shipping it to a friend in the US and having them Air Mail it to wherever you are.
Can I ship to a PO box?
Nope. As stated above, your code is pre-paid for US ground shipping via UPS and UPS cannot ship to PO Boxes. Sorry!
Where is my tracking number?
Retrieve your tracking number here.
What if I lose my secret Bag in a Tag code?
Then you’re bummed. Your secret code is like cash. If you lose it, it’s gone forever. Protect those digits with your life!
I am totally confused!
