How to recycle your old bag
Found yourself in a place where you don’t love your bag any more? Fortunately, you’ve got an out. We’ll take your bag off your hands, find it a new (loving) home through Timbuk2’s Bag Recycling Program, and give you 20% off your next purchase.
Follow these steps to recycle your Timbuk2 bag and earn 20% off your next purchase:
1. Select It Choose the bag you’d like to recycle. It must be a Timbuk2 bag that’s clean and healthy enough to warrant future loving.
2. Pack It Stuff your bag into a box. If you’d like to receive a 20% off coupon code for being a good samaritan, include your name and email address on a (big!) note inside the box. Feel free to include tales of your bag’s adventures and/or well wishes for its future owner too. Our team will email you your 20% off code once we receive your bag. Note, the 20% off code cannot be combined with any other offer on Timbuk2.com. Give, don’t exploit.
3. Address It Address your package to:

4. Ship It Drop your package in the mail and feel really good about yourself. If you’re in San Francisco you can drop off your bag at our SF Retail Store.

How it works
Since 2009, we’ve partnered with the San Francisco-based non-profit, At The Crossroads to put your loved bag in the hands of those in need. We’ve recycled 2,000 bags since the program launched.
At The Crossroads reaches out to San Francisco’s homeless youth and young adults to help them build healthy, fulfilling lives. Through nighttime street outreach, one-on-one counseling, and partnership collaboration, At The Crossroads accesses young people typically overlooked by more traditional services. Thus, they provide support and services for those most in need. At The Crossroads distributes Timbuk2 bags to their clients to provide a small but much needed boost in spirit.
