At Timbuk2, we don’t just pay you a competitive base salary to work for us, we offer a generous benefits package too. To be eligible for some benefits, you must be a full-time, regular employee. However, San Francisco loves you and even if you only work a part-time or seasonal gig we still offer up some really great perks so read on.

Benefit number um, 3?  Mmm.

Full-time, regular employees are eligible to participate in the company sponsored health plan. Timbuk2 subsidizes a nice chunk of your medical premium. The rest is deducted from your pay, before taxes and in accordance with applicable IRS law and other legal mumbo-jumbo. We offer full medical, dental and vision care and give you fancy choices like HMO, PPO, FSA and UBAOK. Timbuk2 also cares about your future even if you don’t and offers election of a 401(k) plan.

As a full-time, regular employee you are also eligible for paid time off and paid company holidays. That vacation you have been wanting to take- just wait until you get this job and get paid to do it.  You are now free to move about the country!

Although not eligible for company sponsored medical and sick time benefits, part-time and temporary employees can take advantage of a number of city-wide ordinances developed to provide benefits to those that don’t usually qualify for company sponsored plans.  Under the San Francisco Paid Sick Leave Ordinance, employees accrue sick hours to be used to recoup lost wages due to illness. You flexibly scheduled employees are also eligible to take advantage of low or no cost access to health care under the San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance. All employees are eligible to participate in bicycle and commuter benefits plans. Use pre-tax dollars to purchase MUNI passes, BART tickets, assorted transit passes and now, expenses related to commuting by bicycle. And that’s not all. Everyday is Casual Friday here at Timbuk2. Come in your jeans or your board shorts- we don’t care! We have a ping pong table and couches on wheels for added excitement. Have a cup of java from our industrial strength espresso machine and ride your bicycle around the office.
