Job Summary:
The Ecommerce Analyst is a critical role responsible for optimizing timbuk2.com in order to improve user experience and increase revenue. The Ecommerce Analyst will develop web analytics and reports, suggest and execute tests considering all the main Ecommerce metrics (Transactions, Traffic, Conversion, Revenue, etc.), and help define the process of continuous optimization of customer engagement and conversion. The Ecommerce Analyst will partner with Marketing, Customer Service, and other cross-functional teams to execute strategies.
Essential Job Functions:
- Respond to Site Activity to Maximize Sales
- Deliver consistent and dependable weekly updates to sales. Report on merchandising performance via weekly/monthly dashboards and ad-hoc analysis.
- Analyze and share overall and category-level traffic, sales, and conversion with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities.
- Traffic reporting by channel (includes a deep dive in ads and traffic sources).
- Mobile Analysis: track ecommerce growth and trends on mobile and tablets.
- Regularly assess ecommerce performance and determine impact of recent actions, using sources such as Google Analytics (A/B testing analysis).
- One off deep dives on Ecom reporting.
- Deliver consistent and dependable weekly updates to sales. Report on merchandising performance via weekly/monthly dashboards and ad-hoc analysis.
- Site Merchandising
- Responsibilities include new products listings, product copy, dimensions and all the information and assets related to each product.
- Monitor web site content and adjust merchandising according to business needs and demand changes.
- Identify web site enhancements or new merchandising opportunities that will help grow market share.
- Weekly refresh site merchandising.
- Manage email marketing calendar with the Ecommerce and Marketing team.
- Competitive Benchmarking
- Perform regular analysis of competitive best practices, keep up with industry trends and introduce new ideas for improving performance.
- Manage Closeouts
- Management, including product listing, inventory control and Customer Service.
- Advertisement policy
- Web tracking, reports review and communication.
- Online Partners
- Merchandising, build sheets, catalog maintenance and image uploads.
- Review catalog of their catalogs and reporting consolidation of their sell through.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum education level = Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 1+ years experience in an e-commerce company with analytics experience
- Strong analytical skills with ability to drive meaningful actions from large data sets
- Excellent Excel skills
- Prior experience with site analytics tool (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Possess a working knowledge of financial measurements.
- Prior experience as business analyst a plus
- Experience in a retail company a plus
- Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and resourceful
- Ability to work efficiently within a team environment and willing to go above and beyond to produce excellent work
