We've Got You Covered

Timbuk2's Lifetime Warranty

Timbuk2 products have a lifetime warranty; we stand behind the legendary quality and craftsmanship of all our products. Our warranty is valid only when the Timbuk2 product is purchased through Timbuk2 directly (via timbuk2.com or one of our brick-and-mortar retail stores) or through an Authorized Reseller.

We also embrace the wild, twisty ways of life. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair  the bag at our discretion. Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, accidential damage, and cosmetic damages that do not affect the functionality of the bag (such as scratches or stained fabrics). Any damage to, loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered. The lifetime warranty also does not include our apparel products, such as Timbuk2 t-shirts and hoodies.

Your Timbuk2 bag is sewn by hand and might contain some slight imperfections. Like Daniel Craig or Marilyn Monroe, the slight imperfections are what add character to an already awesome product.

Warranty & Repair FAQ

What is covered by the warranty?

Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship are covered, notwithstanding age. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair the bag at our discretion.
*If your product arrived defective from Timbuk2.com please email Customer Service and we'll move mountains to right your wrong.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues that do not affect the functionality of the bag, and accidental damage. Any damage to or loss of contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered.  Unless a product is designed and stated to be machine washable, washing bags in washing machines can result in damage not covered by our warranty.

Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Regardless of how carefully you use, or how well you care for your bag, it will eventually begin to show age and wear. Usual wear and tear not covered by the lifetime warranty includes changes in color, abrasions, and general breakdown of materials over time.  Some examples of common wear and tear include color fading from sun exposure, worn elastic, and fabric wear, especially in high wear areas such as corners, reflective binding, worn velcro, and worn shoulder or back padding. Some examples of accidential damage are rips or cuts in fabric, animals chewing or clawing on our products, as well as damage arising from airline abuse such as bent or dented luggage handles or damaged/cracked wheels & bottomplates.

What products aren’t covered by your fabulous warranty?

Any headwear, apparel or footwear. Third party attachments and or devices like the Joey power packs or NiteIze blinky lights, or Blue bottle kit accessories like scales, grinders, or cups. Any other third party accessories sold by Timbuk2 but not bearing the Timbuk2 brand.  The items are generally warrantied by their respective manufacturers.

Awesome bag for a weekend

Comments about the Blink Pack

Awesome compartments. One main compartment with no organization and one other compartment for a laptop that is well padded. I use this for weekend trips or overnight stays and it's the perfect bag. Good size for three days or so but four days is pushing it. Clamshell opening is super useful and compression straps are in the correct spot to properly compress any space that is not needed. Compression straps are easy to tighten and loosen and are among the best of any bag that I have used. One thing that could definitely use improvement is the straps. They are slightly uncomfortable. Good width and support but The way they are built is sort of rigid and the padding isn't up to par in relation to other competitors. Disappointed in this aspect because the padding is super important and would have liked to see more.

Soaked my work laptop until it died

Comments about the Blink Pack

Overall have really enjoyed this bag and would like to give it 5 stars, however I bought it because it said it was water resistant, which I need commuting to and from work. I was in a normal rain shower for about 10 minutes walking home tonight and I had a puddle in my bag when I got home that actually destroyed my work computer. Needless to say, this has caused a huge pain and I am immediately disappointed in this bag. Had I known it was not at all water resistant, I would have taken additional precautions.

Blink Pack is just right

Comments about the Blink Pack

I have used the Blink pack for a while and find it is just right for keeping clothes wearable for work. It is big enough for a weekend but with the cinch straps compress unwanted space. The color and material is very attractive. Normally I am a function guy but this pack looks good,

I take this bag everywhere

I use this bag on a daily basis kind of in lieu of a purse these days. I love it. My laptop is kind of old and bulky but fits nicely in the padded sleeve inside the bag. The larger front space is very spacious for the many "must-haves" I carry around. Inside this part there's a mesh zipper section where I keep my phone charger and other miscellaneous small items. The bag is not loaded up with tons of compartments, but I feel as though there are enough for me. Inside the back zipper section (where the laptop goes) there's the laptop sleeve and then a separate zippered area with 2 small compartments for maybe a wallet it your phone and an attached lanyard for keys (which I love). I keep the cord to the laptop in the space between the sleeve and this zippered compartment. The outside pocket is on the right side. I prefer dual pockets but it does make the bag more compact. It's convenient for my 32oz Gatorade. There's a small zippered pocket on the front of the bag. It's about as deep as my phone (iPhone 7). The straps are a little wide for me. I've gotten used to them since carrying the bag everyday. And they really do help distribute the weight of the bag. Even with my laptop, a large Bible, 2 journals, another book and miscellaneous other items, my back and shoulders never started hurting.

Cant stop, wont stop, using this backpack

This backpack is absolutely fantastic. I've used it just about every day since I got it. The backpack is big enough for me to fit my work equipment and my workout clothes/shoes at the same time yet still lightweight and sleek that I don't feel in the way of others during my commute. I'd definitely recommend this backpack to a friend! It's stylish, lightweight, and fits everything and more that I need!

Nice day pack but some improvements to consider

I received this item for free in exchange of my unbiased review. I think that overall this is a good product. So far it seems to be of good quality materials and construction. It is comparable to other day backpacks I've used: they all have their pros and cons. Some pros I could observe in this bag are: (1) The number of pockets is adequate, there are not so many that you lose track of where you put your items, and not so few that everything is mixed in the same big pocket making them hard to find. (2) The key link is easy to find (thanks to the color contrast) which is convenient when you need to reach for your keys in the dark or with just one hand. (3) The bag is very lightweight but sturdy, so it won't add excess weight to your load without sacrificing durability. Some cons I observed in this bag: (1) The bag is narrow (which is great) but also quite elongated, which makes you "fish" for your items inside the very long pockets. This is particularly obvious for the laptop/tablet pocket (unless you have a giant laptop which may not fit widthwise anyway). (2) The straps could be a little more padded. If you are using this bag for just a few items this wouldn't be a big deal, but once it starts to get filled up and heavy, shoulders are going to suffer. Things I would consider improving but can't consider as "cons", just personal preference: (1) Adding a chest strap to better distribute the load. (2) Making the inside of the bag a lighter/contrasting colors it is easier to spot items. In general, I would consider this bag as one of my candidates when shopping for a daypack, and I would recommend it to friends letting them decide if the cons I mentioned above are deal breakers to them or not.

A nice pack from a great company

This is overall a nice pack. The compartments are well sized and include multiple interior pockets as well as a padded pocket for laptop/tablet. The bag is fairly lightweight and comfortable to wear. The construction of the bag appears to be high quality and the appearance is sleek and nice enough to be used in the adult commuting/business world. My only confusion/downside about the bag so far is that it is advertised (on the tag attached to the handle) to have 2 expandable side pockets for water bottles, U-lock, etc. The bag that I received only has one side pocket. The pocket has a small piece of elastic on the side to allow for expansion of the pocket and the pocket is somewhat shallow, at least for the bottles I carry. The stretch pocket it a great idea, but combined with the depth of the pocket leaves the bottles I carry feeling a little bit unstable. Only having had the bag for a short time I can not speak to it's longevity, but I have other Timbuk2 products that I have used heavily for years with minimal signs of wear so I expect that this product should hold up well. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a small to medium sized pack with durable materials and comfortable wear.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
