*If your product arrived defective from please email Customer Service and we'll move mountains to right your wrong.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues that do not affect the functionality of the bag, and accidental damage. Any damage to or loss of contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered.  Unless a product is designed and stated to be machine washable, washing bags in washing machines can result in damage not covered by our warranty.

Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Some examples of accidential damage are rips or cuts in fabric, animals chewing or clawing on our products, as well as damage arising from airline abuse such as bent or dented luggage handles or damaged/cracked wheels & bottomplates.

What products aren’t covered by your fabulous warranty?

Comments about the Bruce Pack

Historically Timbuk2 has an issue with making bags that look awesome, super high quality in craftsmanship and materials, but low on functionality. I bought the Timbuk2 Bruce Pack for travel. I do a lot of international travel with film crews in my career. I generally pack a few days worth of light clothes, my Macbook Pro laptop, and the basics, chargers, notebook, lip balm, wipes, just basic stuff. This bag looks amazing sure, has a bunch of pockets too, but when you fill up the main compartment, the exterior and even laptop sleeve area become totally useless. There is nothing to give and they don't expand. I put sunglass in one outside pocket and they were nearly crushed. I can reach to one of the outside pockets to grab my wallet and passport swiftly because the all of the pockets are so tight after using the main compartment. It's a basic design flaw, oversight or just bad thought behind it. I have 4 Timbuk2 bags and they all have this problem. Look good, made well, but crammed so tight, it's like trying to store things in a backpack made out of concrete.

It works fine but I don't get excited packing or travelling

Comments about the Bruce Pack

I was looking for a new travel bag since my old one was wearing down. I really like my timbuk2 bag that I have for the office so I looked for a timbuk2 travel bag. I decided on bruce for the size and security (if people were going to steal stuff, the velcro is a loud deterrent). I tested the bag during my work trip around europe and found that the straps sort of slip? they also don't distribute or offset the weight from the shoulders as well as i hoped... but I can't really prove that on a video since it happens over time as I walk around with equipment... weight distribution is essential bc this bag can get top-heavy and feel unbalanced.

After a year of searching for the right pack...Da Bruce!!

I'll start by saying that the material that this bag is made with can take a beating. The two side pockets are wide enough and deep enough to hold any u-lock/cable lock, large Nalgene water bottles. The three outer back pockets provide the organizational space you need to hold everything from keys, small notepads, headphones, wallets, etc.. The large main bag will hold everything. To assist with organizing your items in there, I use eagle creek organizer packs. Within the large main bag there are two sleeves that are about the height of the pack and can hold folders or a laptop. One of those sleeves can be easily accessed from the outside, which I great.

My new carry-on, ski bag, probably everything bag

I love this bag. It's stylish enough to use as a carry on for quick travel trips. But durable enough to be my ski bag. I'd actually like to have two - one for travel and one to keep my ski gear in year round. I had this beautiful Coach carry-on for a while but it didn't shut close so it wasn't super practical. And I've had some Hershel bags that weren't always the right size. But the TimBuk2 Bruce pack was perfect. It looks great and is so practical. I will use this over and over and over again. Definitely worth the investment to get a high quality bag.

Very solidly constructed backpack.

My primary use of this backpack has been hiking with my children, as well as an out and about bag while we go to amusement parks. The bag itself is incredibly sturdy, I have been very pleased by the durability. I have tossed it around in the Florida heat and swampland and it has been easy to clean. It still looks almost as good as new after two weeks of regular use. I was skeptical of the magnetic clips, but they hold incredibly well, although they do require two hands to do or undo, which at times is tough as a mom on the go. The sunglasses pocket is awesome, I need them constantly, and it holds three pairs comfortably. The roll down, Velcro flap on the main opening is a great asset. I feel like my wallet is safer in that pocket than in a typical zip pocket. Since the flap rolls down then Velcro's over, it takes extra time to get open, and makes a bit of noise when you do so. I always carry tons of things, frequently three to five liters of water, three to six changes of clothes (mine/hubs/kids), and snacks, and with the bag fitted correctly I have no back pain, and it is very comfortable to wear. The bag can be fitted to fit my 5'4" frame correctly, but also has straps long enough to fit my husband who is 6'5" also wears it comfortably. Neither one of us has had any complaints. The only downside to this bag for me is the number of pockets. I know it seems like a silly complaint, but if I am trying to get to something in a hurry, or trying to get through security, it adds a lot of extra time. A more neutral downside is the physical size of the bag. It's great because it holds all of my things, but I can see where it may be too much for someone who doesn't require as much on the go as I do. I would recommend this bag to anyone outdoorsy, it's great for hiking, especially with large loads. I was hoping to be able to use it a bit more for day to day use, but it's really to large to comfortably take to work, or for an average outing.

Perfect for camping/hiking

The bag is perfect for traveling as there is an amazing amount of space and tons of pockets to hold everything from clothes to a laptop to keys and cellphones. The weatherproof design is great for hiking or camping allowing me to not be concerned about water damage to what I am carrying in the pack. There is more space in the bag than I originally anticipated and I have yet to struggle to find enough room to pack all of my necessary items in this bag. The bag is well made and the straps are fairly comfortable even with large amounts of items added to the bag. I would recommend this bag to anyone looking for a comfortable backpack with an insane amount of storage without being terribly bulky.

High quality pack

This is a great pack for camping or for a backpacking trip. The pack has a large capacity with a compact appearance. The quality is high just as you would expect with the Timbuk2 brand. I have only owned the pack for a short period of time but it seems like it will be durable. The reflective material is subtle and nice. Several pockets, which offers lots of flexibility.
