We've Got You Covered

Timbuk2's Lifetime Warranty

Timbuk2 products have a lifetime warranty; we stand behind the legendary quality and craftsmanship of all our products. Our warranty is valid only when the Timbuk2 product is purchased through Timbuk2 directly (via timbuk2.com or one of our brick-and-mortar retail stores) or through an Authorized Reseller.

We also embrace the wild, twisty ways of life. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair  the bag at our discretion. Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, accidential damage, and cosmetic damages that do not affect the functionality of the bag (such as scratches or stained fabrics). Any damage to, loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered. The lifetime warranty also does not include our apparel products, such as Timbuk2 t-shirts and hoodies.

Your Timbuk2 bag is sewn by hand and might contain some slight imperfections. Like Daniel Craig or Marilyn Monroe, the slight imperfections are what add character to an already awesome product.

Warranty & Repair FAQ

What is covered by the warranty?

Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship are covered, notwithstanding age. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair the bag at our discretion.
*If your product arrived defective from Timbuk2.com please email Customer Service and we'll move mountains to right your wrong.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues that do not affect the functionality of the bag, and accidental damage. Any damage to or loss of contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered.  Unless a product is designed and stated to be machine washable, washing bags in washing machines can result in damage not covered by our warranty.

Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Regardless of how carefully you use, or how well you care for your bag, it will eventually begin to show age and wear. Usual wear and tear not covered by the lifetime warranty includes changes in color, abrasions, and general breakdown of materials over time.  Some examples of common wear and tear include color fading from sun exposure, worn elastic, and fabric wear, especially in high wear areas such as corners, reflective binding, worn velcro, and worn shoulder or back padding. Some examples of accidential damage are rips or cuts in fabric, animals chewing or clawing on our products, as well as damage arising from airline abuse such as bent or dented luggage handles or damaged/cracked wheels & bottomplates.

What products aren’t covered by your fabulous warranty?

Any headwear, apparel or footwear. Third party attachments and or devices like the Joey power packs or NiteIze blinky lights, or Blue bottle kit accessories like scales, grinders, or cups. Any other third party accessories sold by Timbuk2 but not bearing the Timbuk2 brand.  The items are generally warrantied by their respective manufacturers.

I wouldn't by this thing

This is really for tiny iphones. Won't fit anything bigger or actually won't fit any standard size phone. Doesn't really feel secure when you strap it onto your bike. The front strap is also places the pack in an awkward position. My shifters are right above it so i can't really shift gears with the pack on. Overall really really really really really really really (takes deep breath) really really really disappointed.

Everyone else is right.

This is a great idea, but 2 little pieces of Velcro are not sufficient to keep it shut with an iPhone 6 in the lid. An iPhone6 fits much better without a case, but still doesn't fit that well. This case looks like it would be great, but just falls short... the first Timbuk2 item I've had that has disappointed. :(

Terrible! It won't stay closed! My wallet and phone went fly

Not a good bag if you hit a bump expect your belongings to go flying out

Poorly designed product

Had the previous version of this, which rocked. Had a zipper and a better slot for a phone. Now the Velcro version opens on every bump. Have lost at least $60 worth of gear when hauling my bike on my jeep and on bumps while riding. Would buy again if the zipper version was revisited. Otherwise this is a pretty useless product. 😞

It's good for what it is supposed to be.

I'm not sure I like this type of cycle bag in general. These bags are in the way of standing over the top tube. Otherwise this bag will hold an iPhone 6 as long as it's not in any kind of case. The bag kind of slides side to side on the top tube as well, but it's only slightly annoying. Otherwise I like the look, style and functionality.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Versatile

Great to have an outside pouch to place my trail pass and not have to dig it out. Great storage for extra battery, still working an how best to secure more tightly to the bike so it doesn't slide side to side

Great Value and Works Great

I use this on my personal bicycle during a "weekly leisure ride" and it was WONDERFUL to be able to not only see my ride progress, but also to interact with my device while I was riding. The capacitive touch screen is essential to loving this product. I can't recommend it more!

Mainstay on my road bike

I love that it's situated exactly where I need it to be - easy to glance at stats and grab snacks - without getting in the way of cycling. Yet, I have never been able to fit as many snacks as with the Goody Box, AND still be able to fit my power bank, iPhone cord, keys and cash/cards. It's the best bike Bento I've ever had. However, it doesn't sit completely well on my bike - not sure if it's my bike construction or if others run into this issue - so the top doesn't close very well unless I take time to bother smoothing out the top edge. Still, it's a small problem and doesn't really come into play unless it's pouring. I wish I had a nicer color, but I bought this on sale so I can't complain. :)

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Doesn't stay closed with iPhone 6

I got the small one and it just barely fits my iPhone 6. I like the rigidity of the unit but the bag doesn't stay closed. They should offer a refund for all who purchased it since they probably lost whatever that was in it. I called before buying and they said it would hold the iPhone 6. The phone does fit the slot but it fits the lid so much so that it prevents the lid from closing properly. I have to put a small bungee cord on it to keep the lid closed. A larger flap and possibly some rare earth magnets would have made this bag a winner. Not sure they realize but Velcro does not really work when wet too do for a device meant to be used outdoors, it couldn't possibly work well. Rather disappointed.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
