We also embrace the wild, twisty ways of life. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair the bag at our discretion. Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, accidential damage, and cosmetic damages that do not affect the functionality of the bag (such as scratches or stained fabrics). Any damage to, loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered. The lifetime warranty also does not include our apparel products, such as Timbuk2 t-shirts and hoodies.
Your Timbuk2 bag is sewn by hand and might contain some slight imperfections. Like Daniel Craig or Marilyn Monroe, the slight imperfections are what add character to an already awesome product.
What is covered by the warranty?
Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship are covered, notwithstanding age. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair the bag at our discretion.
*If your product arrived defective from Timbuk2.com please email Customer Service and we'll move mountains to right your wrong.
What is not covered by the warranty?
Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues that do not affect the functionality of the bag, and accidental damage. Any damage to or loss of contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered. Unless a product is designed and stated to be machine washable, washing bags in washing machines can result in damage not covered by our warranty.
Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Regardless of how carefully you use, or how well you care for your bag, it will eventually begin to show age and wear. Usual wear and tear not covered by the lifetime warranty includes changes in color, abrasions, and general breakdown of materials over time. Some examples of common wear and tear include color fading from sun exposure, worn elastic, and fabric wear, especially in high wear areas such as corners, reflective binding, worn velcro, and worn shoulder or back padding. Some examples of accidential damage are rips or cuts in fabric, animals chewing or clawing on our products, as well as damage arising from airline abuse such as bent or dented luggage handles or damaged/cracked wheels & bottomplates.
What products aren’t covered by your fabulous warranty?
Any headwear, apparel or footwear. Third party attachments and or devices like the Joey power packs or NiteIze blinky lights, or Blue bottle kit accessories like scales, grinders, or cups. Any other third party accessories sold by Timbuk2 but not bearing the Timbuk2 brand. The items are generally warrantied by their respective manufacturers.

We enjoy all of our TIMBUK2 products.
I bought this tote on a whim when I saw it was on sale, thinking I'd use it just to lug groceries or maybe stuff to the gym and back. It's now replaced my primary backpack, and I was perfectly happy with that one. Very comfortable over the shoulder, and I love the extra 'tote' straps that let me grab it easily anywhere. Light, utilitarian, and I think it looks great. Great stuff, Timbuk2 exceeds expectations again.
Bought this to replace a basic tote bag. The infinite pockets are great (although there are two long deep narrow pockets inside that I can't figure out a use for - they are the right width for a pen, but deep enough that the pen would get lost at the bottom and be nearly impossible to fish out); the two padded sections are perfect for a laptop, a mini tablet, and a kindle. There are four elastic loops that I'm also at a loss to find a function for. Two downsides: as a backpack, it gets hot against your back very quickly because the padded laptop compartment insulates really well. And the bag would benefit from the addition of a key clip somewhere inside.
I needed a bag I could use for both work and play. I was previously transferring my things between bags during the weekdays and weekends. It soon got tiring and that was when i set out to hunt the perfect bag. I later discovered the existence of the Heist Tote-Pack. On the weekdays I would use it in its tote form, suiting what I wear to work. On the weekends, I would whip out the strap and use it as a backpack. It is big enough that it can be used as a bag to dump any shopping loots I may have purchased over the day. It is not "loud" that it would look weird on a person in office attire. I would encourage the Timbuk2 team to look into exploring the possibility of adding on the option of having a shoulder strap option as sometimes I do find myself hoping for this when I have to carry some items and need the extra hand free from holding the Heist Tote-pack.
Travelling with my computer and all other stuffs
I bought this bag to replace an older, now discontinued style of laptop tote. I thought the old bag was irreplaceable - I was wrong. My new tote from Timbuk2 arrived just in time for my 2-week trip to Baja. I used it to carry my tablet, several books, a water bottle and jacket. This bag has plenty of room. I wasn't sure if I would like the "backpack style" straps, but they turned out to be very useful as I like to shift the bag around rather than carrying it on one side all the time. It was great to be able to put the bag on my shoulder when I needed to free up my hands for other luggage, passport, etc. On the airplane, it fit easily under the seat in front of me. The waterproof bottom on the bag is a nice feature. It came in handy when I spilled water on the floor and didn't realize the bag was sitting in water for awhile. No problem. I plan to use this bag as my regular work tote as well. This is a versatile option for people who want the functionality of a backpack in a great-looking tote.
I was looking for backpack so I could ride motorcycle and still be office appropriate. Don't like bags all over in conference room. Moving from messenger bag. I like that the pack stands up even when not full. Also like to hang it on back of chair out of the way. For traveling it is comfortable enough so I can carry it and not try to strap my messenger to my rolling suitcase handle. Access front pocket is good for passport. The front magnet pocket organizer is good and easy but don't have that secure feeling when bag is sideways or under airplane seat. I put phone in the zipper vertical pocket just in case The main compartment works for me because I have separate cable and electronics pouches. Otherwise just one main zipper compartment. There isn't enough color contrast inside and quite dark to see in deep main compartment. Also pen organizer seems to have 2 too many. Could be better with a couple of wider slots and more contrast. Water bottle pocket would be nice and I think side access would help too. Separate iPad pocket is nice and laptop is easy to get in and out. Slight fiddle with the top of bag sort of in the way of laptop access but easy workaround. Overall pretty close to what I was looking for super practical and office appropriate backpack with easy grab and go tote handles.
I am enjoying this tote. It holds everything I need , my pad, laptop , water bottle , lunch and change of clothes for the office. At the end of the day I can pickup groceries too. It is everything and more.
