Lifetime Warranty

We've Got You Covered

Timbuk2's Lifetime Warranty

Timbuk2 products have a lifetime warranty; we stand behind the legendary quality and craftsmanship of all our products. Our warranty is valid only when the Timbuk2 product is purchased through Timbuk2 directly (via timbuk2.com or one of our brick-and-mortar retail stores) or through an Authorized Reseller.

We also embrace the wild, twisty ways of life. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair  the bag at our discretion. Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, accidential damage, and cosmetic damages that do not affect the functionality of the bag (such as scratches or stained fabrics). Any damage to, loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered. The lifetime warranty also does not include our apparel products, such as Timbuk2 t-shirts and hoodies.

Your Timbuk2 bag is sewn by hand and might contain some slight imperfections. Like Daniel Craig or Marilyn Monroe, the slight imperfections are what add character to an already awesome product.

Warranty & Repair FAQ

What is covered by the warranty?

Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship are covered, notwithstanding age. If there is a defect in the materials or workmanship we will repair the bag at our discretion.
*If your product arrived defective from Timbuk2.com please email Customer Service and we'll move mountains to right your wrong.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues that do not affect the functionality of the bag, and accidental damage. Any damage to or loss of contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered.  Unless a product is designed and stated to be machine washable, washing bags in washing machines can result in damage not covered by our warranty.

Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Regardless of how carefully you use, or how well you care for your bag, it will eventually begin to show age and wear. Usual wear and tear not covered by the lifetime warranty includes changes in color, abrasions, and general breakdown of materials over time.  Some examples of common wear and tear include color fading from sun exposure, worn elastic, and fabric wear, especially in high wear areas such as corners, reflective binding, worn velcro, and worn shoulder or back padding. Some examples of accidential damage are rips or cuts in fabric, animals chewing or clawing on our products, as well as damage arising from airline abuse such as bent or dented luggage handles or damaged/cracked wheels & bottomplates.

What products aren’t covered by your fabulous warranty?

Any headwear, apparel or footwear. Third party attachments and or devices like the Joey power packs or NiteIze blinky lights, or Blue bottle kit accessories like scales, grinders, or cups. Any other third party accessories sold by Timbuk2 but not bearing the Timbuk2 brand.  The items are generally warrantied by their respective manufacturers.

It is a great investment. The material looks much more expensive than the actual cost. Like the simple and modern design. Zippers are a little stiff at first but that's probably because it's small, and the curves are more difficult for the zippers to navigate. Love the little outer pockets. Bottle pockets are too narrow for my Contiguous travel mug so you'll need slimmer water or coffee vessels, which work better.

Great backpack

This is simply a great basic backpack. Granted I'm not a backpack connoisseur, but I've had quite a few throughout the years and this one is definitely up there quality wise, at the very least on par with Jansport, but with more style. This backpack's got a great look to it, modern yet classic, all the things you need, nothing you don't. Just the right amount of pockets, you can store a small computer, phone, water, rain gear, snack, a book. It's a great daily commuter bag or to be used for errands. The quality seems to be very good and it's comfortable to wear. No drawbacks found. Just a well made bag. Now I know why Timbuk2 is such a popular name in backpack. Nicely done.

Very sturdy pack

The pack was very nice and sturdy. My laptop fit well in it and was protected. I wanted there to be more pockets and it was initially really stiff around the zippers but nothing that didn't affect the bag overall. Straps were comfortable and easily adjusted. Is as really good everyday bag.

Ramble Timbuk2 backpack

I've had several weeks to try out the Ramble Pack and I do like its design and feel of the product. However living in Texas I will use it more in the winter months. I do like that it has a lot of pockets and it does seem to be very durable. I like it!

Nice backpack with a few glitches

I checked out the specs of the backpack online, and I was stunned that it was priced upwards of $50. It was near $100, if I remember correctly. So I thought it must be super high quality. When I received it, I was taken aback by the material. It seemed thick and rubbery, and felt like those old vinyl backpacks that you would buy for elementary school back in the day. The good thing about it is that it seems like it would protect whatever is inside from moisture. The bad thing is that it makes my back sweat when I wear it. I like the number of pockets that are inside and outside. I like how there's two smaller compartments at the top outside. They are conducive to holding important things like keys, cash, train pass, etc. The bottom larger outside pocket is good for things like tissues, hand sanitizer, etc. The other day I found a tiny little side pocket that's pretty well concealed. I'm not sure what it is for, since it's pretty small and tight, and not terribly easy to access. There are nice little pockets inside for pens and small pads of paper. Then there is a compartment for a laptop, which even holds my gargantuan 15" beast of a dell. The one problem I have with this compartment is that while my Dell fits in it, it's very difficult to get into the bag - the dell has a silicone-like coating on the top, and it catches on the material, so I have to finagle it to get it inside. Other than that, it is spacious enough to hold everything I need. One major con to this backpack is the zipper. It is quite difficult to open and close. It seems to have gotten easier as I've used it more, but it is still tough, especially at the rounded edges of the backpack - I have to really take my time with it to get it zipped up. However, it does seem like a quality zipper and not a cheap one that will break any time soon. So, with all that being said, would I pay the price they ask? Probably not. $50? Maybe. Certainly not more. It's nice, but needs some work.

Ramble Pack Twill Backpack Review

The Ramble Pack is an elegantly designed and textured back pack which has premium value all over it. I used it as my primary backpack over the last two weeks and found it very useful. The pack can take many items and can keep expanding as needed. During my usage, I never felt I did not have enough space to pack what I needed to move around in my backpack. Besides the black color which makes it very professional, I like the durability, it is very well made. It did not give up on my heavy load. It has the extra storage which I can use to arrange many things as I pack. The really most exciting part is the quality of the material. Very premium and that makes it easy to really like to show off the pack as I want people to see the quality I use. I did squeeze the material just to see if the material will drop some parts. There was nothing like that. So, I am assuming that long-term usage will not degrade the value and quality. The padding makes going out with the pack easy and fun. It accommodated my laptop and the accessories like battery and adapters along with my journal and water bottle and still gave me a lot of space to put more. My only concern is how it will perform under continuous sun looking at the fabric/material used. I am concerned it may flake but I am not sure as I did not abuse the one I tested with constant sun exposure Overall I will recommend the product. I have to add that I received a free sample of the product to try but the review is my honest opinion
