Unless a product is designed and stated to be machine washable, washing bags in washing machines can result in damage not covered by our warranty.
Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Regardless of how carefully you use, or how well you care for your bag, it will eventually begin to show age and wear. Usual wear and tear not covered by the lifetime warranty includes changes in color, abrasions, and general breakdown of materials over time. Some examples of common wear and tear include color fading from sun exposure, worn elastic, and fabric wear, especially in high wear areas such as corners, reflective binding, worn velcro, and worn shoulder or back padding. Some examples of accidential damage are rips or cuts in fabric, animals chewing or clawing on our products, as well as damage arising from airline abuse such as bent or dented luggage handles or damaged/cracked wheels & bottomplates.
What products aren’t covered by your fabulous warranty?
Any headwear, apparel or footwear. Third party attachments and or devices like the Joey power packs or NiteIze blinky lights, or Blue bottle kit accessories like scales, grinders, or cups. I use it for commuting to and from work on a daily basis. I walk to/from work 15-20 minutes a day and the material of this bag makes it perfect whether it is rain or shine. This messenger bag is perfect for that. The bag is very spacious and I really enjoy that it comes with a laptop sleeve. It fits nicely in there and is great to have in case I end up having to bring work home with me. I've been using the bag for a few weeks now and it seems to be very high quality and durable. I especially appreciate the latching system that they use. I don't have to worry about my bag popping open or anything accidentally falling out because it is very secure. The bag itself is very spacious and it has a lot of pockets of varying sizes which makes it easy to keep things organized. The color and design of the bag and very stylish as well. There are a couple cons for the bag for me. The shoulder pad is attached at the base and doesn't slide along the strap. That means the bag sits really high on my back to have the shoulder pad in the right position. If I were to adjust it to wear the bag more on my hip, then the shoulder pad is all the way in the middle of the back. It really doesn't provide good shoulder support if I were to do that. Also, the two front pockets are a bit too small for my liking. Overall, the bag is excellent. I'm really, really happy with it and it has replaced the messenger bag I was using previously. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone
This back is great for a city slicker. It is a sporty, classic black bag with some fashionable grey panels that are also reflective for safety. The buttons enclosures on the front do not pull open like a snap but easily pull down for easy access to the interior of the bag. There a quite a few compartments for organizing your items as long as they are not too bulky. The first two external pockets have magnetic closures and one has a helpful red key connector (essential to quickly find keys in such a dark bag). There is a longer zipper enclosure that would be the safest place for wallet and valuables. Inside the main compartment are three divided areas. One is primarily a laptop section then one is just for thinner books/notebook. Finally, the third area is completely sectioned off with velcro. The design of the bag is for wearing over a shoulder and on the back to keep hands free. If you are used to backpacks, then it just takes a bit of an adjustment. Perhaps the neatest accessory that is included is the protective rain cover. It stores in a zipper at the base of the bag and easily slips over the top, while looking stylish with some more reflective grey panels. Everything stays nice and dry which is great (especially if you live in rainy Seattle). For a male opinion, my husband was very impressed!
This bag is very stylish for the city slicker. It is basically black with a few reflective grey toned panels for safety and style as well. The main "snaps" on the front are not snaps...so don't pull up, but they easily slide down to open the main compartment. I like that there are many separate sections so that you can be organized. The two magnetic pockets in the front are good size for a phone and wallet perhaps and then one side has a key connector on a red rope which is helpful to locate them in a dark bag. Behind these pockets is a longer zipper pouch which would be the most secure spot for valuables. Inside you have 3 more options to organize. One is a larger divider perfect for a laptop and then the other side is a bit more shallow for a notebook/books. The final thinner part actually has velcro to keep its contents separate. The strap is padded and the bag is meant to be worn partially on your back so that hands are free. Perhaps the neatest feature for a city dweller (at least one in rainy Seattle) is the rain cover that fits over the bag to protect all of your items inside. It has some fashionable grey reflective panels as well .This bag is roomy for a messenger bag but does not have the space of a backpack. If I need to look professional and were to carry only a laptop and a few presentation items to around, this would be a great bag. It should hold up well given the materials used (and cleaning would just require a shake and a wipe down). My husband was especially impressed!
This bag is SOLID!! It's made from 940D Cordura Nylon, which is not going to rip. I don't question it durability at all. I love the extras with this that you don't catch at first. The strap lets the bag sit close to the body. It feels really natural when I'm riding my bike around town. There's a dedicated rear loop for when I'm riding at night. It has lots of pockets along with a dedicated laptop sleeve. The style also looks great going into work with it it's solid, sleek design. So, it makes for a really nice commuter bag.
As someone that loves Timbuk2 products, I was very excited to receive this bag. The last Timbuk2 bag was from almost 10 years ago when my laptop was very bulky and needed a bigger bag. I still use that bag for day trips, but was excited to get one for a slimmer laptop. This bag looks slick and I love the fast magnetic closures, but right away there were noticeable scuffs on it the front. Also, the inclusion of a rain fly makes me wonder if this bag is water resistant at all or if the fly is for protection the open sides from the elements. Also, would be nice if the bag separated the laptop section like some other bags for ease through TSA, but I understand this bag is meant for bike commute than work trips.
We use the product to carry laptop, iPad, paperwork, etc. to and from work on a daily basis. The bag is great quality, looks sharp and holds up really well! However, in terms of roominess it is tight - you won't be able to fit a lot of books in it for school, and even a laptop is a bit tight in terms of fit. The pockets are great, would be nice to be able to fit eyeglasses in there as well, not really possible along with laptop. Carrying a messenger bag on the back is new to us, but actually functions well for us - something we hadn't really considered before. Would be really great for a commuter or somebody riding a bicycle.
This is a great bag that is specifically designed for biking. If you're not going to use it for biking, you'll at least want to use it as a messenger bag and not as an over the shoulder or briefcase type bag. It is very sleek looking. It is modern, but not flashy. I was impressed with the features that are built in. There is a reflective strip on the outside that isn't visible unless light is shined on it (such as a headlight). There is a spot to clip on a rear red light. The clasps for the bag are magnetic to help you secure it in place easily. There is also a rain cover tucked away in the bottom of the bag. Overall, I found it comfortable to wear as a messenger bag. It is a bit awkward to just carry it over the shoulder (since the padded part of the shoulder strap is fixed to one side of the strap). The handle is very basic as well. The bottom line is that it's probably the best messenger bag I've used and is great for that purpose!
Great for travel and work. Light weight and practical. Very stylish too.
I was very happy with this bag. At first, I didn't know if I liked the look - but it's so easy to take with you on the go. It's roomy enough to hold my work computer and other materials while not being too bulky for traveling on the rain. And the best part -- the rain bag that's built into the bottom.
