*If your product arrived defective from please email Customer Service and we'll move mountains to right your wrong.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Damages not covered are those resulting from abuse, normal wear and tear, cosmetic issues that do not affect the functionality of the bag, and accidental damage. Any damage to or loss of contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time, or similar expenses are not covered.  Unless a product is designed and stated to be machine washable, washing bags in washing machines can result in damage not covered by our warranty.

Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Some examples of accidential damage are rips or cuts in fabric, animals chewing or clawing on our products, as well as damage arising from airline abuse such as bent or dented luggage handles or damaged/cracked wheels & bottomplates.

What products aren’t covered by your fabulous warranty?

Great bag, but a couple things:

Comments about the The Authority Pack

I rated this bag 5 stars because it is a great bag with only minor non-dealbreaker things. It's a lot slimmer than I thought it would be, but that's a good thing. It doesn't look bulky when you're walking around and it still fits everything I need for my daily commute to work. Negatives: the only downside I've found so far is that the base of the bag isn't stiff at all, so the bag won't stand up all the time if it's not loaded up with things. Also, there's zero bottom padding (other than the laptop does have bottom padding). This isn't a deal breaker, but wish there was a better base or a little padding for the entire bottom of the bag just so my stuff is better protected when I set the bag down and possibly may stand up a bit better on it's own.

Perfect for work travel

Comments about the The Authority Pack

I've been traveling for work much more, and wanted a work backpack alternative to my Tumi shoulder strap briefcase (which was more and more uncomfortable for lugging through the airport and throughout Europe). I tried a bunch of options, and this was the perfect combination offering a professional look, padded laptop sleeve, tons of pockets and organization options (the two quick access pockets in the back are great). I bought this right before heading to Europe for two weeks for a conference and daytrips on the train to different offices. it held up perfectly and was lightweight too. The only weird thing is there was no luggage/ID tag (and it doesn't seem Timbuk2 carries these?). Oh, and I didn't want to spend big $$, and this was a great price and construction quality was as good as way more expensive versions. My first Timbuk2 purchase, and it won't be my last!

Great bag with one minor flaw for right handed folks

Comments about the The Authority Pack

This is a really stylish bag with lots of storage. It was also able to fit my 15.6" laptop from work. The only issue I have with it so far is that the side zipper on the very front pocket is more catered to a person who wears the bag over his/her left shoulder. I put my work badge in that pocket and I shoulder the bag over to my right, so when I try to swing the bag over the front the zipper is pointed to the bottom, which makes it hard for me to pull out my badge without other things in that pocket falling out. Just wanted to point this out to people who shoulder the bag on the right.

A solid, well-rounded backpack

I used this bag for a few weeks traveling to and from work with other errand runs in between. Overall, I think this is a solid backpack. It is made very well, has LOTS of pockets, and seems like it can take a beating after continuous use. Going back to the pockets, I think there might be too many. At times I found myself forgetting which of the many pockets I placed things in and ended up opening everything. I think if it had one less compartment I would have been happier. I also was hoping to break it in quicker, as it is very stiff which I believe is to protect the contents of the bad. That is not a pro or con, just something I noticed. I don't see this bag as an everyday use for me, as I am only taking the train to work. I would definitely use this more for if I were biking around or traveling as I am assuming this bag was made for.

Not My Favorite Bag

When I received this bag, I was impressed by how sturdy it was and how many pockets there were. However, after using it a bit, I decided this wasn't the best bag I've owned. The bag itself is very narrow, and a lot of stuff doesn't fit unless it's flatter like a notebook or laptop. It has adjustable straps at the bottom to allow for more room, but it doesn't do much. Those straps do, however make a jingling sound with every step I would take. Other trivial things I didn't like much: The smallest pocket, which I deemed my "key pocket" opens on the left side of the bag. I'm right handed and am used to swinging my bags around my right side to reach my keys, but because this pocket is on the left, it made it less convenient. Not a big thing, but still annoying when it came to my personal habits. The water bottle holder also doesn't fit water bottles comfortably. Overall, this is a well made, sturdy bag, but didn't impress me much when it came to comfort or size.

I would buy this product again but hope I'll never have to!

The most under-considered aspect of this backpack until would be how lightweight it is. My old backpacks, despite being lower quality, always got heavy no matter what was in them. This back is significantly lighter which is great!

Less than expected

I have been using Booq bags for the past few years and decided to make the leap over. I like the look of this bag in the pictures and thought it would suit my needs better than the flip top Timbuk2 bag I had before. Unfortunately, this one is a bust for me. Very flimsy. Not sturdy like I'm use to. Hard to zip/unzip with one hand. Pockets are smaller than I thought and material just seems very thin and cheap. For a bag of this price you'd expect something a lot better than what arrived. I probably won't buy another Timbuk2 bag. Back to the other company for I guess. Smh

Almost perfect

Excellent backpack, with lots of thoughtful pockets and a very stylish design. My only complaints are: -Because of the thin (but durable and lightweight) material, the top front sags significantly when the main compartments aren't fully loaded (exacerbated by the weight of the items I have in the organization pockets) -As a result of this, the already grabby and stiff zippers don't open smoothly, and I have to pinch the excess fabric to smoothly open and close them; same with the sunglasses pocket I understand that these are probably necessary evils from the waterproof zippers and lightweight design, but still something to mention, especially coming from my old eBags Professional Laptop Slim, which held its shape no matter the load and had the smoothest zippers I've ever used. On the other hand, it was heavy and definitely not waterproof, so I don't regret the switch!
